Really, what did you expect?

No point in getting too angry over this loss today. I mean, what did you expect?

Did you expect for us to maintain the lead after the half? Those six dropped passes in H1 were a killer for the Colts so the lead was a bit miselading. Also, the Colts can make halftime adjustments. We can't.

Did you not expect Rosencopter to make at least one boneheaded play that would change the entire game?

Did you expect that Peyton Manning and company would be kept out of the EZ by our secondary? Did you expect that they wouldn't be able to carve us to pieces - especially in the no huddle?

Did you expect us to start hot and get TD's instead of FG's on those first couple of drives? As usual, we just can't quite seem to seal the deal (but at least GK took the points instead of going for it on 4th-and-whatever).

Did you really expect that Mario would pwn Manning? See CND's description of Mario's looping backside pursuit on every down. Where is the swim move? A spin? A Reggie White style "throw you like a rag doll and violate your QB" move? I have no doubt that he's got the skills. The man is a beast. But where is the coaching?

Did you expect that Richard Smith would suddenly pull a great game plan out of his arse and that we'd stymie the Colts?

I mean, really, what did you expect?

Me, I didn't see anything that surprised me, really. I expect we'll end up at 4-12 or 5-11. We're just not a very well coached team in many aspects of the game with a bunch of mediocre players (with a few exceptions) that can't do it on talent alone. We need great schemes because the talent isn't there. Instead, we've got an okay offensive scheme with two turnover machines at QB and a historically bad defense with marginal talent.

What did you expect? I didn't expect as much as what I got, really, because we're a bad team.

That's my $0.02. What were your expectations?

to be honest, they actually played better than I thought they would. I thought they lose by two TDs or more.

But, my expectations were met. The defense didn't do their job and Rosenfail failed.

If the Texans had figured out a way to win this game while giving up 33 points to the Colts, there'd be more people complaining about how the victory only masks the defensive problems than there are complaining about the loss itself (and I'm not saying they'd be wrong).

The bottom line is it was a loss - good offensive performance, crappier than hell defensive performance and a loss.

I thought they would lose by 21 points - so we did much better than I thought...offensively. I didn't expect Slaton to do as well as he did. The defense was just as I expected.

that is exactly how i felt. defense did just enough to lose and Rosenfail was what he is. Rosenfails, Career Backup.

oh, can we find a way to score a TD in the red zone...oh and while we are at it, can we find a way to stop a team from scoring a TD in the red zone?

this place just needs a change of culture and Kubiak is not the guy for that job. he is just too niiiiiiiice and a flatliner.

Instead of just taking off his headphones to say something nasty to Rosencopter, I wanted Kubiak to throw the headphones, grab Sage by the shoulder pads. lift him off the ground and put him - not so gently - on the bench.

I'm not angry but I'm disgusted...but hey, that won't change my life any. I will say that fans across the league all expect that the game is anyone's to win on any Sunday, except for a few like the Lions, Texans, Raiders and Bengals. In that case, we know if we don't score at least 30 points we won't be in the game.

Not before the game but at halftime with a lead in the NFL, I was dissapointed because we had the oppurtunity to win

as far as expectations, I was hoping we'd be at least hovering around .500 right now esp if we were healthy (compared to last year)

I was pleasantly surprised we had a chance to win this game a the end. But that third quarter massacre against our defense was something I never want to witness again...

I fully expect our defense to fall one yard short of stopping third downs. If it's 3rd and 8, we'll give up 9. 3rd and 15, we'll give up 16. It's like the red sea parted every 3rd down and the middle of the field is wide open. Frustration doesn't explain it.

I expected the Texans to lose to the Colts. That doesn't make it OK though.

=================================================

I expect the Texans to beat the Raiders in December, since the Raiders are very bad.

I expect the Texans to lose to the Browns. It is hard to win on the road and expecting the Texans to do something so hard is unrealistic.

I expect the Texans to lose to the Jaguars, Packers, and Bears because they are better than the Texans. It is unrealistic to expect the Texans to beat an average team, although they will be competitive in each loss which will bode well for the future.

I expect the Texans to lose to the Titans after the Texans fans spend a week telling the Titans fans why the Texans are a better team, and why a 13-0 record is lucky.

I expect a 1-5 finish for a 4-12 season.

I expect to hear how the 4-12 Texans are the latest step up in Kubiak's incremental but continuous improvement plan.

Ah, Football!
I remember many posters clamoring for a Monday Night Football game this past off-season. Personally, I didn't really care if we got one or not at the time. But now I feel that I'm going to be embarrassed watching our MNF game. Nationally, eho the hell is going to watch? The ratings will be so low we'll be lucky to ever get another primetime game.

I wish we'd never gotten one. At least until our team can show they can win.

We'll win Monday night against the Jacks, I believe that. It might not be pretty, but we'll win.

I never expect to win in Indianapolis. Matter of fact, I expected us to lose by 14 or more. I'm just mad about the season on the whole, and I blame Richard Smith, Rosencopter, and down-and-out-on-the-Matt.
