Mike William=Next Chris Carter

It's very possible he becomes the next Cris Carter, but he hasn't played football in a year and it will take him a little while to get acclamated to the NFL...It's just as likely he ends up like Marcus Nash...Who? Exactly...

didn't Marcus Nash play with Peyton Manning over @ Tennessee? I might be speaking of the wrong NASH. I remember Manning threw to NASH and Peerless Price

I LOVEEEE how everyone says BMW is slow. 4.58, at 6'5 with like an insane verticle jump ability, hes a freak plain and simple. Cris Carter relied on his route running ability for more than his pure athleticism. BMW just oozes of athletic ability.

Yeah, that's the right Nash...I'm not saying Williams will be a bad NFL player, but to compare him to someone who "re-invented" the WR position in the NFL (depending on who you ask) is a very lofty comparison that I'm not sure he'll be able to meet...

If BMW equals Chris Carter then in 25 years Inside the NFL will Payton Manning Sitting across from BMW!

Of all the positions to address, why do people want a WR?.. In addition to AJ, we have Gaffney, Armstrong, and two promising projects (Sloan, Starling)... drafting a WR that high would mean that we'd be spending about %13 of our cap on our two starting wideouts.

BMW is not a very good nickname in my opinion. Besides, no one has ever had hands like Chris Carter, so the comparisons should stop at being slow.

Curious: What advantage does a WR with 4.3 speed have over a WR with 4.5 speed? The 4.3 WR isn't going to blow past the 4.3 CB so what's the advantage?

finding the right blades of grass to get their defenders to stumble over

BMW is catchy, it would fit right in with the Carr. We need to throw nicks at DD and Johson.

BMW isn't a nickname started by car imagery. It started as Big Mike Williams and got shortened to BMW.

It's true Williams hasn't played football in a year, but he's also had plenty of time to prepare for the NFL. He's worked with Chris Carter during the offseason, and he's worked on running routes (an area of his game most people think he needs alot of improvement). Also he's worked with a speed coach. There was an ESPN article about it a couple weeks ago, and I'll have to see if I can find it. The point being that taking a year off from football (I'm thinking its nearly 18 months now) doesn't mean that he wasn't able to prepare for the NFL. Every rookie WR is going to take some time to get acclimated to the NFL, but after a couple games I think most of the "rust" on BMW is going to be gone.

The NFL is not baseball. Developmental projects are misses 99.9% of the time.

is that right? All these days i thaught it was like MW for his initials, than since he has speed, they added a B to make it BMW- you know he's fast like the car...
