Draft Dream

LORK 88

Wreck'em Ŧech!
Ive noticed that when it comes to mocks drafts, some people tend to give their team the best draft possible with rediculous trades or people falling too low or as i call a draft dream. So instead of having these fantasies ruin a mock draft, heres a thread where you can post your draft dream and have Houston take whoever you want or trade whatever picks they want. Have fun with this! Heres mine.

Houston Texans
*Trade pick 13 to Green Bay for picks 24 and 35 so they can get Alex Smith
*Trade Corey Bradford to Carolina for picks 115 and 189

*Use pick 24 to get 3-4 DE Shaun Cody
*Use pick 35 to get other starting OLB Darryl Blackstock
*Use pick 47 to get WR Chris Henry (6'5'' and runs a 4.4)
*Use pick 73 to get CB Eric Green
*Use pick 78 to get OT Michael Munoz (Too much heritage to not take him)
*Use pick 114 to get S Andre Maddox
*Use pick 115 to get MLB Kirk Morrison
*Use pick 151 to get RB Cedric Houston (hes got the name)
*Use pick 188 on TE Adam Bergen
*Use pick 189 to get C Richie Incognito
*Use pick 204 to get OG Chris Myers (hes from Miami, he must be good)

my dream draft would a combination of these guys on 1st 3 picks
ware (1st round)
Thomas Davis (if we traded out of 13)..would play LB and/or safety when Coleman retires)
Pac man Jones (1st round)
Carlos Rogers(2nd round)
Webster(2nd round)
Bass(2nd round) can play center/guard
Wilkerson (around 3rd round) give him a year to heal and McKinney I believe is on the last year of his contract

I honestly wouldn't mind trading one of our picks for a next year pick (3rd this year for next years 2nd) ...so we have some flexibility to move up and get one of the DT's in next years draft

that is if someone ranked high on our board doesn't slip

I think if Carolina wanted Bradford they would have signned him before we did.

That would be why its deemed as a draft dream. It wont happen, but in my perfect draft, this is how it would go. Also, Bradford said that if he was going to sign with a new team, it would be after the draft.

I dont think you could do that. You only can have 10 picks, and you have 11 already. Otherwise not that bad except I really don't like Cody that much. I havn't heard of a positive on his personality yet.

Quit living in Madden 2005 world. San Fransisco and Kansas City have 11 picks each allready, Tampa Bay and St Louis both have 12, and Philly allready has 13 picks. As for the picks, I like Spears alot, but he wont last past 12. Cody had 10 sacks last year, runs a 4.95, 6'4'' 295, and is a DT/DE tweener who would fit well in the 3-4 as a DE. Personality-wise, I havent heard anything bad about him.

Taken from a DraftDaddy.Com article:

This first round "lock" has been tabbed in recent days by those in the know as a second rounder at best. As a large DE like Shawn Ellis or Michael Strahan on the outside he projects alot better - and should a team move him there we like his chances more. however flat out this man is just not good enough against the run to be a top notch DT. Cody ran around the Senior Bowl like a chicken without a head, doing spin moves (like that's really gonna work at the next level) - and then he only ran a 5.03 on a fast track at his pro day (not a 4.75 as expected). So he's not especially fast and he's small?

Speaking freely, Cody's got his head up his ***** with the camera crews on spikeTV and without agent representation. He's basically a pretty boy at an ugly man's position and I have to question his intensity, toughness and commitment. The place for pass rush specializing "finesse DT" that can’t stop the run is in the pass happy Pac-10 not the NFL. Word is he is believing his "net hype" and has gained a reputation as a "partier." Well here's some net hype for Mr. Cody - Shaun, if you want to be on reality TV so bad maybe you should audition for the next real world, they are always in the market for photogenic fancy pants.

To the exclusive club of reality TV show hosts — Donald Trump, Jeff Probst, Monica Lewinsky — we can now add the name of Tony Gonzalez.

Tony G, No. 88 on your Chiefs program and one of the top tight ends playing in the NFL today, is taping “Super Agent,” an eight-week summer series for cable’s Spike TV. The documentary-style program will follow a promising college football prospect, Shaun Cody, as he shops for an agent to represent him at the 2005 NFL draft.

Cody, a defensive end for two-time national champion Southern Cal, is expected to go high in the draft. “Super Agent” will take viewers behind the scenes at the meat market leading up to draft day in April. But while scouts and coaches are examining Cody, he’ll be putting a few folks to the test himself — namely, nine prospects that Spike TV calls “prominent sports agents.” By the end of the taping, he will have selected one of them to negotiate his first NFL deal.

Besides serving as host, Gonzalez said he will be advising Cody about making his choice. So will Cody’s family and friends.

“It’s not going to be a cheesy type of reality show where he’s eliminating people, Donald Trump and all that,” Gonzalez said in an interview last week from Mobile, Ala., where Cody was preparing for last Saturday’s Senior Bowl.

“This is a big decision in the kid’s life. It’s not like he makes a decision and they break up the next week. This guy is going to negotiate a huge multimillion-dollar contract for him. This is going to change his life. You’re with this person for a long time.”

1. LB Demarcus Ware
2. OL Baas
3a. DL Antaaj Hawthorne (failed drug test) he will fall
3b. WR The best one availible at this point.
CC can figure out the rest. :)
