What did you think of the team taking a knee instead of piling on the score?
I was actually glad they didn't, but still threw me for a loop. Maybe they were feeling guilty about the hits on Schaub.

I don't think it was them feeling guilty, but instead just Childress not wanting to risk a turnover. You never know what can happen. There could be a mishandled snap from the center that gets picked up & ran back for a TD. There really was no need to risk it, and he took a knee instead.

They had the game won, no need to do anything but take a knee. All teams would do the same, unless you're coached by Belichek.

Mike Leach would have tried to score another TD, especially if he had all his timeouts left.

This is the only reason they did not pile on! There is only one way that the Texans could win that game long shot or not and its a turnover on the goal line trying to score. Childress is catching hell for having an under performing team I am not sure his career woulkd survive if he lost that game trying to get points that were not needed.

The announcers mentioned it. They even called it a ''classy'' move. I don't see why it even deserves a mention. Taking a knee is the 10000% correct thing to do. Why in God's name would you do anything else? Herman Edwards anyone?

It's the safe bet. It's a locked in win - no need to get cute. Besides they wouldn't have been anywhere near the goal line had we not gone for it on fourth down and gotten sacked (again)......


I can't wait until Sunday so I can block out memories of last week with new (hopefully good) ones from this week.

Let's not let Mr. Dungy off the hook here, either. "Coach Class" has been known to go for it citing that point differential is one of the tie breakers.:bat:

Classy move to just kneel and get the W. Scoring a TD when its not needed would be a jerk move.
