you know someone is going to bring out the bad things about today's game. could not help but notice that our team really cant dance. i dont think we will be seeing any texans on dancing with the stars for some time.

my vote for worst dance is probably kevin walters kick start.

I actually liked that dance.

Flawless performance.

I tried to think of the negatives on my drive home from the pub and the only thing I could think of was the quality of opponent. If we're saying things like "well they're the Bengals, we should kick their ass," I take that as a sign of significant progress.

Great job Texans!

Nice win fellas! Let's save all that dancing till we make the playoffs, though. That's your job, you're supposed to win. Act like it is not out of the ordinary.

In that case, I'm looking forward to the next time the only negatives are our team's dances ;)

I think the whole "white boys can't dance" is so true... and I'm one of them.

Matt Schaub only threw for 3 TDs and an 85% completion pct.! He didn't get 300 yds passing for the second straight game!!
Bench him!!

Andre Johnson didn't get into the endzone for the SECOND straight game!!
Trade him!!

Steve Slaton only avg'd 3.5 yd/carry!!
He's a BUST!!
(do I need the sarcasm sign?)

...but seriously folks....
Since the Jags lost (and I'm betting the Colts will too), we could have 2nd place in the division if we hadn't given the Colts game away.
(man, I had to look hard for that one)

I don't know fellas. I was kind of fun to watch DA and Walt at least attempt to get jiggy. They got a little soul about them. :splits:

Also pretty sure if we won a coin toss we would have won the Jaguar game also.

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts . . . .

Like the announcers said, all that dancing around is just a mark of a team that's not used to winning.

Your point? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that. Here's to the NASA engineers that called the game.

The point is the team is starting to swagger a little bit. That is a very good thing to starting a winning culture.

I guess if you had to point out One negative from todays game it would have to be the Bungles conversion of 57% of their third downs ..... 8 of 14.

On the other hand , the Texans converted 77% on 10 of 13.

I hope there is a montage out there soon on youtube of all the hilarious dancing going on by our players during the game today.

Seriously, I couldn't stop laughing and probably wasted at least 10 minutes rewinding and laughing some more at those dances.

If there was a negative, it was our horrible, horrible dancing.

Except for Dunta's. Not that it was a good dance, but just to see him get a pick again - man, how awesome was that? He could have done ten backflips and punched Ocho Cinco in the face and I wouldn't have cared. Dunta's back!!!!

Hey! Watch it!
We post among you.
:foottap:

Some of them weren't here for the Atlanta debacle. That's the film I'd show them Tuesday. Put the happy dances away and tighten the chin straps and get back to work. IIRC, they were on a two game streak and went to Atlanta and laid the biggest egg I've ever seen.

The ones in my dog house are "the Boy" and Kubes. OK ? Dre is taking a beating from their Safeties the whole game. And you're telling me we've got no plays running the ball that unleashes the left tackle at the safeties on a right handed play ? No end a'rounds ? No screens ? No tosses....You stand there for four quarters and let the rainmaker take a beating and you do nothing but watch ? A$$ holes. My rain maker I would of stopped that chit and stopped it quick. There is a reason no one is a afraid of this team. And it starts at the top. This isn't tiddley winks. If you don't put up some stop signs and take care of your guys, they'll take a free hand. I'd of found something to put a big mans hat on those strutting safeties.

Did any of you see the Channel 13 texans recap show? They talked about this issue and then Spencer Tillman got up and broke it down and showed them how it's done......that man has some moves. :)

When Sharper and Walker and Glenn were here, there would have been payback. We're much too polite now. Especially since the TJ/Trent Green incident. We might get some bad press. Say what you will about "the Tacks", but no one abuses anyone on a Jeff Fisher team and doesn't get bruises in return.

I am glad someone else noticed it. Thats all they showed coming and going from the broadcast.

The dancing is lame...gay as the kids say. STOP IT! Act like you've been there before. Win something meaningful and then get down.

Kubes should put a stop to it....now!!!

They haven't had much to dance about - let 'em dance!

AMEN to that!! Shows a team with some spirit!! They're enjoying the game, celebrating in a way that will not get them penalized, and showing some "bonding" with fellow teammates. It's called POSITIVE attitude, something we haven't seen much of!! I love it!! Let um dance!!

I liked the Anderson Conan dance.

The best part though was when he was running to the sidelines, he and Jacoby acted like they were going to jump up and bump each other and they faked it, stopped and shook hands real proper. It was hilarious.

I had been thinking about making a post like this..... You're right, we definitely do not have any dancers on the team. These guy's need some practice with End Zone dances, and celebrations... or just act like you've been there before...

No Kidding. And they are not acting like Chad or TO and making it all about them and they are making it about the team.

IMO, that's what make them even more fun to watch as a fan.

I thought it was funny and was glad to see the guys having some fun. They certainly had something to be happy about, and I certainly won't be one to rain on their parade.

yeah, i saw that too.

So long as these guys aren't shirking practice time/film study to choreograph these shenanigans, I'm cool with it. Clearly, our WRs not named Andre Johnson have given some thought to how they celebrate, and if that is the stuff out of which team chemistry springs, who am I to judge?

But, substantively speaking, here's how I would rate "Dancing with the Texans":

Mario's Hula Dance: 10. Topical, dominating and good hip action.

Schaub's horizontal spike: 0 on artistic merit, but a 10 on passion. I'd have given an 11 if he had shot an "Here's your 11" to his boo-birds.

Travis Johnson's moves: 8. Actually, more like a 5, but if this is what motivates TJ to rush the passer, then I'm for a little grade inflation.

The Dunta "I'm back, ********************rs": 7. Should be a 9, but it loses two points for the penalty. Normally, I'd DQ an entire dance if it draws a flag, but it's not Dunta's fault that his moves were sweet enough that his teammates just had to join in. And, to be honest, I'm just happy he's back.

Owen Daniels' Brush off the Haters (good call on the name, Mari-OWNED!): 6. Good idea, nice execution while being understated at the same time. I am fighting the desire to penalize him for the abominations he so obviously inspired the following week from his fellow receivers--I guess that's sort of like criticizing Van Halen for setting the stage for Winger and Dokken.

David Anderson: I'll give this a 2. One point for being a parody-of-a-parody (how post-modern of him!) and one point because he's playing great for a guy who looked like a longshot when training camp started. But, if this is the first (thus, presumably, best) of his hundreds of celebrations--well, Andre Davis can't get healthy fast enough.

Kevin Walter. Wrong. Just plain wrong.

Jacoby Jones. 5. Would be lower for lack of originality (do we need another Lambeau Leap?), but I, for one, appreciate his appreciation for family values. We should all hug our mothers more.

The Jones/Anderson handshake. 10. Sheer brilliance. Plus, I really like that these guys--who are competing for playing time--really seem to like each other.

And that's all I have to say about that . . .
