they have a typo on 2nd pick.. should be Smith on the choice for QB...
for the dolphins

several things stand out to me in this mock :

San Fransisco taking a WR w/ the #1 over all pick doesnt make much sense to me considering they have no one capable of getting him the ball , they will do one of two things , take either of the top two QB prospects or trade down for multiple picks to fill their many holes (they have more holes than an expansion team) and still possibly land one of those two QB's in the process

I would highly doubt the Titanic's would TRADE UP to take a WR considering the many holes they have to fill because of cap casualties , they may need help @ WR but their most glaring need is CB , they can trade down from 6 and still land one of the top 3 CB prospects .

Cedric Benson to the Vikings ? Non-sense they have enough people in their crowded backfield as it is with Onterrio Smith , Michael Bennett , Moe Williams and lets not forget Mewelde Moore who torched the Texans pretty good last season . They have two first rounders and will look to solidify their defense with one of those and replace some of the production lost @ WR from sending Randy Moss to the Raiders.

The Bears may in fact trade up but it wont be for DJ , it will be for one of the top recievers . Consider that their defense lead the NFL in 3rd down percentage , Had a respectable 20.7 points per game scored against them as well as only giving up just over 208 yards per game thru the air . The bears were dead last in several categories on the offensive side of the ball including Points Per Game @ 14.4 , Total Offense @ 238.G ypg (101.5 rushing ) Passing Yardage @ 137 ypg Sacks Allowed with 66 and Sack Yardage with 449 negative yards . They will take one of the top recievers ..... or Alex Barron . Trading up for DJ makes no sense to me if im in their front office.

The cardinals taking a QB is unlikely ... Dennis Green has said publicly several times that Josh McCown is gonna be at the helm of the offense , they also are looking for reciever help as well as help on defense where they gave up 130+ yards per game rushing.

All in all i think most of these mock drafts put out by the media are more about hype than substance . More often than not these writers make their picks based on only looking @ the team in their geographical area and not the needs of each specific team . Sure would be nice if i could get paid to write cr@p like that . :hmmm:

I agree with you, corrosion, on the Bears trade-up, and very much so on the Vikings taking Benson.

Putting myself on a limb on the RB situation...

Dolphins DEFINATELY take Ronnie Brown,
Bucs take Cadillac UNLESS Arizona Trades up to take him.
(i don't really foresee this happening, but it could. I really believe that Cadillac fits Gruden and Greens mold of RB more than any of the other top 3.)
Bears Take Benson.
If they pass on him here, he will fall all the way to us, then we see how Cass handles it. Take him as BPA, or trade down? (I don't think Arizona will take him @12... I can't remember Denny Green ever drafting a back in his mold)
If Benson ends up here AND as some people think, Minn wants to get another RB due to duribility concerns and injury concerns amoungst their current crop (I read on these boards where one of them is supposedly on the trading block... Bennett I think), it wouldn't be crazy to see the Vikes try and trade up here with their second first rounder and take Benson.
They could offer the Texans a selection of first day picks from this year, or throw in next years first to entice us to trade down.
In this scenario, the Vikes end up with (most likely) M. Williams and C. Benson. This is a pretty good first day for them if it plays out like that...

Seems crazy I know but who knows...?

Maybe the 49's went with Braylon Edwards with their first pick because they plan on taking "the most valuable player of the senior bowl" with their first pick of the 2nd round... QB Charlie Frye

Or maybe they know San Diego has one QB too many and a deal can be worked out for one of them.

I'm starting to think that either San Francisco or Cleveland is not going to take a QB and hold out hope for Frye or maybe even Jason Campbell in the second...I don't think San Diego would be able to deal Rivers, though...Wouldn't all of the signing bonus from his rookie contract count against San Diego's cap this year if they deal him?
