And he's holding a news conference before the game. Maybe one of our local media can ask why the league felt it necessary to have the Texans open up the season with the first four outta five games against playoff teams from last year and the first three outta four on the road. I'm pretty peeved about that right now.

Sounds like the commish is coming to make sure Peyton gets his win. In his opinion, enough is enough.

Opponents are set some years before...therefore when this year's schedule was made there was no way of knowing who would have been in the playoffs the year before or not.

The opponents are set but not when and where you play them.

They are, I'll grant you that. Its the sequence that we play them in that I have a problem with.

True, but they could have been a little more considerate for the road games that were originally scheduled. Like jt said....the first 3 of 4 were on the road.

To be the best you have to beat the best. That's something we haven't done in our short history. This team has been inconsistant going on 7 years now.

IMO, the tougher teams are beaten in the trenches. I think our Oline is making decent progress, but our Dline has actually regressed. For the money spent on the Dline you'd think it'd be the other way around.

The way we played in week 1, I do not think there is a team on this year's schedule that could not have beaten us.

Oh I don't know..the really good teams perform as well on the road as they do at home. If anything playing a few games away in a row means your team is going to have a few games in a row at home. Don't the Texans have that coming up right now? What 3 or so games at home now?

It all pans out in the end.

Dang!!!

I though y'all meant:

The Commish of Tailgating.....

I still think he is there to make sure that if our intensity is up and we are playing inspired by the crowd, and we start putting Manning down on his back, he will be there to make sure little yellow hankies get thrown. In no way will he let the Manning vs. Manning Super Bowl be in jeopardy.

Hoculie isn't refing is he?

He'll be there cause the NFL wants a big warm fuzzy when he hands a check out for hurricane relief. Definitely needed, but a PR opportunity that's too good for the commish to miss.

Booya, nail meet head. The photo-op is definitely too good to pass up for the commish. Oh, and "he cares".
