so do the texans make a trade this year or just work out the kinks.... i wouldnt mind seeing a trade for another linebacker (A GOOD ONE)
 
Well we'll see how panicked the front office is for sure. I always vote no. Save your draft capitol so you can control you own destiny come April. Plenty of LBs, DEs and RBs on the board come April. We're all agreed that they can't run Slaton into the ground like they did Dominic Davis-Williams correct ? I'd like to see more than four years out of Slaton.
 
i wouldnt mind trading a player for a player... travis johnson or anthony weaver... even though they have no value but u never know who might bite on it.... al davis cough cough lol...
 
I always react to these threads the same way - who do we have that would get us anything that would make a real difference?

Nobody. Nobody that we'd be willing to part with anyway.

But you make a good point, as long as Al Davis is breathing, there's potential to make a deal... we need to recreate whatever the circumstances around Al Davis were when he gave the okay to sign Javon Walker to that ridiculous joke of a contract... once that happens, we offer Ahman Green for Nnamdi Asomugha. DONE DEAL!
 
This is the NFL not basketball or baseball, there is never really that many trades that go down before the trade deadline so the odds are 8% they do nothing like 70% of the teams out there.

It is closer to 90% of the teams out there. The abnormal is when even a mildly interesting trade goes down. The chambers to charger in 2007 was huge in NFL terms. Usually a couple of "who is that guy" types for conditional 7th rounder picks and nothing else.

Was giving the benefit of the doubt and counting the **** trades you mentioned regarding the 7th round picks.
 
I'd be happy if we could just snag some extra 2nd day draft picks.
...for anybody not named Mario, DeMeco, or Andre.
 
We might be able to get a warm bottle of backwash for Dick Smith ..... That might be an upgrade in the secondary or at OLB. :scarygirl:

would I be out of line if I said except for about 10 maybe 12 guys any trade involvong a Texans would be $&!* trade?
