We're wearing blue because the seats are also blue. That way it won't be quite so apparent on the TV when ALL the empty seats blend in with the blue jersey's.

QFT!!!!! I am ready for some tailgating. We are bringing a friend from San Antonio who is a big Texans fan. This will be his first chance to see the Texans in person, hopefully they will put on a good show for him.
No matter what happens on the field, I know the tailgates will be rocking.

However, joking with my 'happy' friend about his love of sausage and rainbows is safe. It makes him feel accepted into a very testosterone-heavy atmosphere. And it shows how tolerant some of us hedneks are, too.
Of course. Women feel safe around their gay friends. You are always happy and have a great sense of fashion coordination. It's almost like you are one of them.

I am not even sure if I am going to go to the game. I am so disgusted with the team right now. I figure I have spent @ $300.00 per Texans win on the team. I am very tempted to give my tickets to a Colts fan that I work with.

I am so confused by some around here. There seems to be a lot of folks not wanting to go to the game because of the way the team is playing while to some degree I understand that and I understand some of the rantings in some of the post but it is still the team you love right? You purchased season tickets and PSL and you are going to just give the tickets away?
I just wish I could be in the same boat as some and own PSL and season tickets or for that matter live in a city that I still love. I have been told by some cause I live in Austin and do not own season tickets I am not as much of a fan as some. Well I still love this team and will watch them come Sunday and cheer them on and hope beyond all hope that they improve every single game.
Oh and just on a small note I am late to the conversation but I would have a made a comment regard a female poster going shirtless (A very attractive one at that) but now it is to late to make the right joke so I will just say I will be shirtless at home in conjunction with your enthusiasm, since no one is going to a sports bar to watch the game.

Here's my take.
I live In Round Rock, I was raised in Houston. I support MY team. I come in, 360 miles round trip for every home game(except the goofy Thursday nite 4th pre-season game). When the team tries to come up with ideas that build comraderie, unity, you get people with these negative attitudes. We have played 3 teams on the road to start our season, those were all 2007 playoff teams. Not to mention what Houstonians went thru with Hurricane Ike, and that includes every player and coach on the team. Reliant needs to really be full of fans and excitement come Sunday.
All the Texans are asking is for you to be there before the kickoff, to be loud when our defense is on the field and to wear something blue. It's really a pretty simple concept.
Here's an idea, if you don't wanna go or don't want to support the team, fine, then sell or give your tickets to somebody who does.
Just wear blue on Sunday and Go Texans!

If color coordinating had any effect on the team's performance on the field, this franchise would sport a better record than 32-67 overall.
Fans need to show up and be loud for our defense. Wear whatever the heck you want to wear, just be the homefield advantage.
There is no need to call out other Texans fans because they cannot afford or choose not to color coordinate with the Texans marketing department. We seem to have all these so-called "traditions". Unfortunately, winning is not one of them. The only thing that truly builds fan camaraderie is winning more games than you lose in a season. So don't sit here and belittle other Texans fans when this franchise is lucky to have any fans at this point.
btw, I will be wearing blue, but I've got several custom jerseys (including the $300 one). I've got so many Texans shirts that I could wear one for every day of the month without wearing the same one twice.
