Can anyone tackle?

There is very little that is more basic in the game of football than tackling, yet the Texans don't seem to know how to do this. Why not?

On another note don't they practice faked punt coverages on special teams?

Maybe they should practice those this week after everyone goes through tackling drills.

I honestly think they spend a ton of time practicing stripping the ball. When you watch them try to tackle, the secondary is not even trying to tackle - they are grabbing at the ball and giving up extra yards. I guess if they were actually causing fumbles, then maybe it would offset, but they never do. Just tackle the damn ball carrier already.

Kubiak cuold have practiced calling a time out

Kubes should know that if the other team is running up to the line then something is wrong with his team...did any of the coaches even think about Timeout? This isn't a hindsight thing...it was obvious to call a timeout right there...it was like 4th and 3...why do you want special teams out there on 4th and 3?

It was not a fake punt. It was their starting offence against our ST. We were clearly in a bad situation and a TO was necessary.

Shhh... we're trying to improve our arm tackling technique, they've been working on it all week.

Okoye had 3 tackles today, and Zgonina had 2.

Meanwhile, DeMeco only had 3 and Mario had 1.

BTW, if DeMeco had wrapped up Greg Jones in OT the Jags would have had second and 10 from the 41 instead of first and ten from the 19.

The entire defense (including the "superstars") had problems tackling today.

My nephew tackles better than they do and he is in his first year of football.

Kubes had better get his head out of his arse or you will see me bringing the pink soap with his name on it.

Maybe next training camp they'll have "Wrap 'Em Up" printed on the back of their shorts.

How many plays did 3 or 4 people touch a person with the ball and he still got away.

Pathetic.

Worse than pathetic. This was down right embarrassing.

Yup, the D is an embarrassment. Everyone other than Mario should have to wear a dunce cap and stand in the corner. Heck, even the normally dependable Ryans looked lazy, disinterested, and lacking effort on the most important play of the game. Terrible technique, and a don't give a damn body language was oozing from him on that play.

We as fans deserve better than this.

Pass the pink soap, I feel dirty.
