With the way we've started, the way we're being outplayed & outcoached, & the 15 consecutive games without a bye, & the struggles of trying to pull it together mentally/emotionally after the hurricane, can we begin to get an early look at who we'll be competing with for the number one pick?
St. Louis & Kansas City are absolutely putrid & 0-3.
Cincy showed some life at NY, but they are 0-3 and I think their play might be more of a mirage.
Cleveland is a surprising 0-3. Look for Romeo to get fired after this year and Quinn to be starting before Romeo gets fired.
Detroit is brutal and they keep getting destroyed just like us.
Oakland may fire their coach, but they looked good against Buffalo and get to play KC another time.
I guess its too early to call it, but we'd probably be a dark horse to get the number one pick. I'd say St. Louis, KC, & Detroit have the inside track. We're probably sitting right around fourth.
That's probably a good thing considering we'd likely take another D-lineman in the first round as there is no dominant college QB prospect & our drafting of Mario actually could start a trend where teams go that route when no clear cut QB enters the draft.
