Okay... I've been a big supporter of Kubiak from the beginning but the evidence is now insurmountable.

1. Richard Smith still is the D.C.
2. some of the personnel decisions he made for the final roster.
3. Throw the freakin' red flag you stupid S.O.B!


I'm almost as depressed as I was once the 05 season started. This team is much more talented but is being misdirected....

can Rick Smith fire Kubiak?

On the out of bounds catch, that is squarely on Richard Smith. That is his squad and he should be watching them CLOSELY up in the booth. I know Kubiak must've been asking Smith if he should throw the red flag. Remember we had one TO left, so he was trying to be careful in using it. Then on the Lendale TD, Smith had around 15 seconds and also a replay to decide whether or not they should challenge, again he dropped the ball on it. Kerry Collins outsmarted that old hag Smith, TWICE.

Kubiak only mistake is keeping Smith around as DC, atleast have someone supervise this retard, up in the booth. I vote for a joint DC, Smith is not RELIABLE.

Tennessee went into the game with a plan to have Kerry Collins running the ball! Did you see those plays... On the first one, watch Weaver. It's a joke!!

Ahhh, we suck!! and not because of the lack of talent. Our coaches are consistantly overmatched in games.. Sh*T!!!!
 
I think all teams have a guy in charge of telling the coach when to throw the flag and when not too.

funny thing is that you know something is up when a team is hurrying to the line of scrimmage to get a play off esp on a long pass play.. come on

That is all on the Texan staff for being out coached again

Duh, Fisher is a better coach than Kubiak. Doesn't mean Kubiak needs to be fired.

Kubiak didn't drop any td passes, didn't throw the int, and he's not a sack artist. He made a bad challenge and bad call on 3rd and inches.

I am in agreement here. He threw the flag on a stupid one and should have thrown it on the thirty yd pass by the inzone and the touchdown. Pull your head out of your ***. I have defended the coaching staff until now. Really, really dissapointing. The other thing is why in the world would you run the ball right before the half when you could still get into fg range. We have a heck of a kicker so let's use him. Kubiak gets the no backbone and the dumb *** award for sure.
 
Don't let the refs get away with it either? The fact that there were so many bad calls makes us discuss challenges. Hello???? If the refs did their jobs, you shouldn't have to challenge!

and, on both sides of the ball we are being totally outcoached. Believe me, if Haynesworth was blowing up Chris Myers I wouldn't blame that on the coach. But, when it's evident that K Collins is part of the gameplan as a runner, then I'm calling out the coaches.

I am not for one to call Kubiak out and don't think he needs to be fired (some of the staff, I do have different opinions off)

but when your players are not performing or held accountable, something has to be done..(I am not calling Kubiak out either) ..

SH*t rolls down hill and if it doesn't .. well mgmt will find someone that will make it roll down hill

You're not the only one. Average coaching, average QB - these aren't good enough to make up for the overall less than average talent. This talent level means we have an average at best front office.

I see quite a bit of talent but who knows what it can do until the coaches put it in a better position. Certainly our talent on offense should is better than what's out there for Tennessee yet they are marching up and down on us.

very pleased with Slaton, obviously right now!

Sometimes I think we as fans confuse our familiarity with our plays as talent for those same players.

Please name for me all the guys with "talent" you think we have right now. Outside of Daniels, Walter, AJ, Slaton, Brown, and Winston who exactly are out talented guys on offense??

Defense is even worse. We have Mario, DeMeco, Freddy, Amobi, and who else exactly?? You could maybe put Demps in there. Other than that, we have nothing.

You say we have all this talent but I just don't see it. I still believe we are a year away.

One thing I am with you on: Kubiak needs to fire Dick Smith.
 
Andre Davis is talented as well

The play calling is suspect right now. The first series of the third quarter was three run plays versus the Titans front four is just silly. The screen pass at 5 min to go in the third was confusing on 3 down. No room to run nothing open and it was not disguised what so ever.

Is this because of how Matt looked in the first quarter or just normal scheming?

my thing was 8 or 9 in the box and we still ran it.. the announcers were even commenting on it that the Texans don't audible out of bad plays

Yeah passing it twice in that situation was just stupid. Sometimes I think Kubiak tries to be a little too creative.

Yep, that's on Schaub. Or don't tell me he's not allowed to audible to pass plays. Really. Don't. I might have to give up sports. I'm sick of that kind of crap.
 
I agree esp when we stopped them from making a TD in the red zone when they ran it i dont think they got that TD

But fire Kubiak No wayyyy !!!!!! its only wk 3 and who will take is place no one that much better IMO

Is that all you saw? What about running on first down and getting to the 1, throwing on 2nd and 3rd down, and then running again on 4th? What about throwing on 3rd and inches? You hear that-HE CALLED A F&^%$#G PASS PLAY ON 3RD AND INCHES!!! I've been a big Kubiak supporter, but he called some horrible plays today that cost the team bigtime. He really needs to reevaluate himself.

Oh, I forgot about that play call. That screen pass to Slaton on 4th down was just beautiful. Did you see Myers go out there and block one of his own guys on that play? That was a total thing of beauty!

What if one of those went to AJ for the TD? You have to realize that he had already decided to go for it on 4th down, and that this team was getting its nuts kicked in at the line. I'm not saying it was the right thing to do, but it's not as stupid as you're making it sound. Kubiak is not a "do exactly what your opponent is expecting" kind of coach. Richard Smith, however, is. In fact, Smith is a "show them that you're going to do exactly what they already knew you would and then do it, and change to what they think you'll do if they have it wrong" kind of coach. Smith needs to go.

yes the handoff does kinda make since he was prob thinking we cant relay on are O line to make blocks and they prob has like 6 in the box so a handoff to the outside kinda makes since

the only problem is we are not good on handoff plays
 
Kubiak always says it starts with him. This time he needs to take it to heart. Kubiak is really not cutting it. He may be a good offensive coordinator, but this experiment that we have going with him at HC is on the verge of failing.

Like the above poster said. Run on first down and then 2 pass plays, and then you run it on 4th down? Maybe with a smashmouth football team. This is not a shashmouth football team. This is a finesse football team with soft players.

No you are not the only one. I had a post ready and then deleted it so I could post later when emotions are not influencing me. We were definately out coached. And this isn't the 1st time. Richard Smith should have been fired in the off season but once again we have a coach staying with a cordinator longer than he should and it may end up biting Kubiak in the a**. I'm getting really tired of watching crappy football and saying wait til next year. It is time for this team to grow up. And if this team is lacking talent then that is on the coaches, scouts, and gm because this team has been aroung long enough to have talent. We should have hired a dc that believed in the 3-4 so we wouldn't set ourselves back personel wise changing to a 4-3. Richard Smith is just plain bad.
