Chronical snafu - Mitchell cut NOT Harrison

That's a pretty big slip up by the Chronicle even thought they are both named Brandon.;)

Thanks for the update!

Watch out. You're next pal! The Chron can't handle more than one Brandon at a time.

I hope you can hook up with another message board before the season starts. We'll miss you. :whip:

Should you even be a reporter if you can't get a name right. I mean isn't that the basics of reporting the news??? A couple errors are a given, but the chronicle has something wrong on a daily basis.

Okay, I'm done b*tchin

I will say this... every time reporters have reported on something that I've been involved with or had knowledge of, they've screwed up something and sometimes, everything.

According to McLame, Harrison is at 230lbs and is one of the faster guys at safety.... interesting.

I do not understand this.
They keep giving out wrong informations, and hardly bother to retract them.

They should have checked the material to begin with.:gun:

That's what bugs me too... the wrong info was up for SEVERAL HOURS... not just a minute or two... blogs (ahem) were updated... other sites picked up the story... when that happens you should at least have a line saying "bla bla bla made an error, bla bla bla apologize for the confusion."

Seems like the noble journalistic thing to do.

It's a bit of a stretch to call what the Chron do as journalism. After whoever it was that wrote it submitted it, at least two people proof-read it or fact checked it. Or, they should have. I honestly feel I could replace a writer or two at the Chron straight out of high school.

Bring back the Post !!!

I was just thinking the same thing. The Chronicle has gotten incredibly lazy without any competition in town. I was a Post subscriber in the good, ole days, and never have been able to bring myself to regularly suscribe to the Chron. I've tried a couple of times, then I get disgusted and cancel.

We were too. And they always seemed to have writers that backed our teams, not back dooring them if you know what I mean.

Saw this in another thread, but deserves its own spot.

I guess 2 Brandon's are more than the local fishwrap can handle.

Easy mistake. No problem.....

Geez how are they going to handle all the "Browns" on the team.

Scoop by Barrett

Yeh the Chron.com also had a poll about which Free Agent would have the biggest impact and they listed Chris Taylor who I'm pretty sure we drafted in like 2006 or something. They meant Chris Brown.

So all the Chris's, Brandon's, and Browns seem to confuse them. Remember when we had like 3 Johnsons?

Big Lou
