Arrested for unlawful restraint, evading arrest, fleeing, and marijuana possession. 1.875 ounces of weed.

Expect him to be cut by the Browns soon. Browns will "nip this in the bud".

Why the hell would you do anything to cause a disturbance in the police station parking lot, especially if you have weed?

My inside source said he was chasing someone with his car and ended up there. The guy he was chasing pulled into to the PPD parking lot to make Wright stop chasing him. Instead Wright goy out of his car and tried to kick the guys ass, that's when the cops came outside and Wright took off running into the subdivision next to the police station.

A real rocket scientist here.... :bat:

Cleveland Browns defensive back Kenny Wright spent Thursday night in a Pearland jail after his involvement in a disturbance with a woman in the city's police station parking lot, leading to a foot chase with police officers.

Wright, 30, is charged with unlawful restraint as a result of the disturbance, evading arrest and possession of marijuana after officers found 1.875 ounces of marijuana in his vehicle, officials said.

Wright, who played for the Texans from 2002-04, was released from jail Friday on $5,000 bail.

Police said Wright was arguing with a woman, who then drove to the police station with Wright following in another vehicle at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday. When officers went to check the disturbance, Wright ran away and police gave chase.

"The foot chase was about a quarter of a mile," Pearland police Sgt. Roy Castillo said. "We had people on scene pretty fast and I believe because of our quick response time and the mental and physical toughness of our officers to catch offenders, we were able to get him in custody quickly and safely."

Castillo said Wright could outrun individual officers, "but he couldn't outrun a radio."

Great quote. These people always think they can outrun the cops on foot or the car behind them. They always forget about the all powerful radio or helicopter hovering above them.
