I think you have the right guys on your list, I voted for Mario over Demeco.

Probably a heart over head decision. Demeco is indispensable, but Mario has made the pulse race.

AJ - Without him our passing attack (particularly in the RZ) is dismal.

Behind him I would say DeMeco then Mario. Meco gets it because he shows up with force in every game he plays.... Mario didn't pick up his game until later in the season (not including the KC game).

aj for presence and limited production
demeco for consistent production
mario for excitement

i voted mario but any of them could be... not to mention dunta
if aj plays 16, he gets it without doubt

Demeco – another great year
Mario – a frigging fantastic year
Kris – pretty good, but no where near what Mario did
AJ – stat wise, not a good year, but we sure did learn how much we need him

Mario gets my vote.

Best Overall Player - Mario Williams
Most Consistenct Overall Contribution - Demeco Ryans
Most Valuable Player - Andre Johnson

Dunta? Played 3/4 of the season and did little back make tackles (34) while he was there.

he was in pretty much shutdown mode back there though.. he has a presence similiar to aj on offence not to mention his spirit and leadership. i would've loved to see what would've happened these last few weeks with himself and freddy back there healthy and an improved pass rush

Ryans is the obvious choice to me, although I would easily vote for Mario based on all the crap he has taken and somehow put behind him. I would have liked to see another offinsive choice though, I think Kevin Walter was the most consistant this year.

I would say Mario. He has really stepped up and played the sort of football that was expected of him. I believe he leads the NFL in sacks at the moment. That has to be worth something. :)

Voted Mario due to the storyline around him coming out and whatnot.

DeMeco and AJ are both stalwarts at their respective positions, but nobody got everybody paying attention to the Texans like Mario did vs the Broncos.

I agree. AJ is the heart and soul of our offense, and things were noticeably sub-par without his presence on the field.

DeMeco and Mario are both close, but AJ just seems to be our major component (and sole playmaker) on O.
