Huh? I have been watching the Texans game on Directv. It's on channel 709 in SD and 719 in HD. You're in Austin too right?

That is weird. I live right on the border of Austin and Round Rock (Parmer Lane). Something is not right there Khari. See if you can get channel 708. That is the Titans game. When I go there it says "Not available in your area". That is how it is supposed to work. They are only supposed to blackout the games that are actually being shown locally.
Try resetting your receiver. Open the flap on the front and reset it by pushing the red button. Your receiver probably didn't get updated correctly. This happened to me with the NHL package once.
Also, I think the guys at 3rd Base are getting the game so it's working there also.
BTW, KEYE should be switching to the Texans game any minute. That Titans game is out of hand.
Very odd. Fox just took off the Giants game because it is a blowout. I can now get the Giants game on channel 722 (I couldn't earlier) because the local Fox is now showing the Bucs/Skins. Something is wrong with your receiver.
Do you have one of the newer HD receivers?
I would call Directv and ask them why someone down the road from you is getting the game and you are not. That is not right.

I don't understand that.. because if keye isn't showing it anyway, why would they care if Direct TV shows it ?Why not give permission? unless they are forcing one to just watch their channel and the Titans

WE WERE GETTING THE TITANS ON 42 AND ON 708!!! Which as I understand it is against CBS and DirecTV policy/rules/law, etc.
KEYE didn't stop anything, they chose to show the Titans, therefore DirecTV should have shown the Texans on NFL ticket.
The fact that Hook'em Horns and others just down the road are getting the Houston @ Cleveland game on channel 709 and we are not, even though we have the same local channels is very bogus.
I ended up catching the last half of the game at Pluckers in RR, which I was told Direct TV that was showing it, and apparently resturaunts pay a lot more and get a different package then us common folk.
Bottom line, someone really screwed up here and methinks it was directv....I got digital pics to prove all of this BTW.

Yeah, it doesn't make much sense. Either Keye is lower than I thought or DirectTV is blaming them to cover their asses.

I watched the game on Sunday ticket. Though, to be honest, I almost wish I would have watched the Titans game. Seeing that ass kicking would have been much more fun than watching our offense struggle against the league's worst defense.

I'm so mad at KEYE I can't see straight. They have no excuse for not showing the Texans beginning when it's was 20-10 with around 7:30 to go. If that score doesn't go along with estimated time left my apologies. I couldn't watch the game.

I agree. I don't buy that crap they were feeding Khari. If that were true ALL of the KEYE viewing area would have been blacked out. Those phone reps never know what is really going on up there. Directv screwed something up where certain receivers weren't getting the right game.
Do both you guys (Hardcore & Khari) have the same model receiver? I would look at that first. Maybe you guys can get this figured out so it doesn't happen again.
BTW, has it happened before? I have never had a problem getting any games this season.

Call 'em up and tell them you want to see in writing what their SOP is in such situations. They should comply, after all you're just asking for them to be clear to you about your service.

It has never happened to me before either, even with all of the flip flopping between the Texans games being shown on KEYE or showing the tacks. Everytime I got the game on Sunday ticket when it wasn't shown locally, until today that is. The people full of crap are DirecTV, how can they show the Texans @ Cleveland 8 miles down the road in the same viewing area, and they tell me (and Khari) I can't see because of the local CBS affilate chose not to air it. (the whole time I am trying to tell them) Like, that's the reason I shelled out $260 bucks, so I wouldn't have to put up with KEYE not showing the games.
It's not like we are new to this here in Austin, I intend to complain to KEYE and to DirecTV and whoever will listen.
