So, essientally the problems we knew we would have are still ture. We still don't have a running game, and that is after Green, and we can't cover the pass.

40 yards rushing in the last game is a killer on stats.

With the D-Train running for us on Sunday, I plan on running from end zone to end zone at the end of each half to ensure that Dayne has visibility of me waving a platter full of hot dogs.

It's not that simple.
The last game against Indy, we were behind and we also lost Green early.
So we were forced to pass more (33 attempts instead of the average 25 in the previous 2 games.)

In those 2 games, we ran for 110 and 119 yds, not much, but would be enough to rank 16th in the league.

Among the 3 teams we play, the Chiefs was the worst at run defense, allowing 113 yds per game (18th in the league.)

We also utilize our backs in the short passing game quite a bit.
(19 catches out of 63 completions for Schaub, that's almost a third.)

Kubiak wants to control the clock, that's what he does.

The other stats are nice and all but the most important to me is 2 W's and 1 L. Every game counts since we are in a three way tie, looking up at the Colts. We cannnot afford to lose in a competitive division as we are now in, if we want to make the playoffs.

Another thing I would like to mention is that Jameel Cook is now in his 7th season. 2 fumbles is not so terible.

One of those in the Buffalo game, he was sandwiched, a guy in front and a guy behind.
It was one of those tough plays. He was running hard trying to find the 1st down marker.

The other was his fault, he was trying to make a move a little too soon to try and gain more yard and again the first down marker. Another hard and timely hit. I'm sure he wished he had just secured the ball and stayed down instead of trying to turn around and run. It would have been 3rd and about 2 or 3 to go.

But it's hard to fault a guy for trying.
He wasn't careless in those 2 plays, JMO.

Schaub is only behind Tom Brady in Completion Percentage (and a couple of guys who have thrown like 2 passes the whole season).

Just don't unveil them until we get in the red zone. :)

And our special teams are awesome

Our Special teams are OKay.

We don't get any push on Field Goal/Punt attempts.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very pleased with Turk, our return game, and our covergae teams. But to be awesome... we need to block a few punts, & FG attempts.

I think they are awesome and one site has them 2nd in efficiency. No we may not block punts, but the last 3 games our coverage team forced two fumbles and one returned for a TD, Turk is kicking good and so is Brown and Mathis returned one last week. Jacoby made a play last week that would have changed the games momentum had we scored that drive.

Our special teams are making game changing plays I think they are more than just okay.

Well considering the colts are hitting on all eight cylinders right now ain't too shabby ? 2-1. Stop the bleeding this sunday, we're back on track.

But the d-line looks much better. and we did tenderize the colts just a smidgen.
And don't look now, but the AFC south posts the best record after week three in the NFL. Could be worse, Salaam could get dinged.

you're right, we're better than okay.

I'm already planning the 2008 draft w/ those stats in mind. We should be able to get a good CB, FS or WR with a mid 20's pick, which is where I think we'll be picking.:homer:
