Where did you hear that Killings injury was career ending?

I think thats more of an assumption. Even if he is healthy to come back he'll probably never start again.

Yea don't make that assumption unless you've heard something. It didn't look as bad as Everett's but we'll see. He did lower his head which unfortunately seems to be a theme.

Hopefully he will have a full recovery

the other running back chris johnson? or whatever his name was

Oh yeah:

Chris Taylor - IR'd with knee injury
Glenn Earl - IR'd

Out of our starters, we've lost:
starting SS (Earl)
backup made starter S (Simmons
starting WR (AJ)
backup made starting WR (Jacoby)
starting RB (Green)
backup made starter RB (Dayne)
starting C (McKinney)

Total guess based on the announcers sounding pleased that "he has feeling in his extremities following a very serious neck injury"

Well they only sounded pleased because neck injuries are extremely dangerous.

Just because a guy hurts his neck doesn't mean he is done tho.

The announcers know just as much as us about the extent of his injury.

Sounds like another year of the Texans leading the league in injuries.

You have to have the depth to compete in the NFL. It's great to have all the stars as starters, but it's just as good to have guys that can step up when your stars go down.

You know all things considered I should be thrilled that we put up a good fight against the Colts but I am not. I am incredibly disappointed over the injuries. I hope Andre, Green, Dayne, and Jacoby can come back next week. This is a really fun team to watch when we have the guys in there.

Edit: Any news on Spencer?

feel the same way.

Its ironic... Someone on ESPN said before the season said given his history he doubted Green would make it to Halloween without an injury..

I hope the guys that got injured are more nicked up than anything else. Cedric Killings obviously is the exception. I pray he's okay. I hope Ahman Green, Jacoby Jones, and McKinney can come back next week. McKinney came back in the game after he went out (according to the radio) so I think he'll be alright. I can't imagine Dayne would be out 2 consecutive weeks with a chest bruise or whatever he had. If both he and Green are out, it's going to be like last year with our awful running game...

I was hearing he was done for the season. Did I mishear something? I hope so.

Kris Brown was limping heavily on the sideline.

Watching Andre walk around with the immobilizer it's pretty obvious that he's not coming back next week.

Jacoby was in a lot of pain and obviously very pissed when he walked to the locker room.

Atlanta certainly isn't looking like a gimme anymore.

They did not show too much of Andre or Jacoby(after he went down). How did Jacoby look? Andre on an immobilizer is bad for us.

Kris Brown?! What happened to him now?
~sigh~

I hope Killings is ok. That was spooky.

I hope all of the other guys get healthy soon as well. Jones's injury looked kinda like what happened to AP last year, hopefully its not as bad.

This is what was said by Kubiak about injuries:

(on the Texans injuries) “I’m going to be pretty vague here. (RB) Ahman (Green) has a knee sprain, or a knee strain. He’ll be evaluated and have an MRI this afternoon. (DT) Cedric Killings when he was on the field he was moving everything, he was talking to me, he called out to his teammates a couple times. He has a big cut under his right eye. He was in a big collision. That’s about all I know right now. He’s at Methodist (Hospital). We’ll put him through a series of tests tonight. All indications appear to be real positive. We’ll see how that comes out. (WR) Andre Davis dislocated a finger. (WR) Jacoby Jones has an AC separation. He’ll be evaluated in the next couple of days. I can tell he’ll miss some time. (C) Steve McKinney has a knee sprain. It was thought to be pretty serious initially, but he actually did go back in the game, so that’s a positive sign. We’ve got some guys beat up and I don’t have a lot of answers for you. I’m sorry. We should have more for you tomorrow as we work through these guys tonight.”

He didn't mention anything about Kris Brown. I hope he is okay.

Here's the good news, though. 236 yards passing. 70 to Davis, 56 to Daniels. Matt Schaub did a good job spreading the ball to different receivers. I am less concerned about the loss of AJ right now. It's something the Texans can overcome. Now, the loss of Green and Dayne...

I'm surprised McKinney came back into the game. Why risk that if the position battle was so close? I guess Flannagan has lost his luster.

I think we might be now back to the the Texans running back experiment of last year. Which combo of backs will not look totally embarrassing?

To be fair, the Colts plan was to shut down the run completely and force the pass. A nice approach especially when AJ is out of the game, and you want Manning back on the field faster. And then they switched to Cover-2 when they were up a few scores. Today, the Texans didn't make the Colts pay for stacking the box.

I'd like to see Darius Walker get some snaps. I think the only thing that Gado has over him is experience, and although that is valuable, I think Walker is a dynamic enough player to deserve a chance in a battered back field.

I agree with you. He didn't look to bad in preseason and might actually make a great impact this year if he is able to step up to the plate.

It just sucks, finally feel like we were doing good and all our key players on offense start falling.

I guess the good thing is besides the Safeties, all our defensive guys are still in the games and we are not playing Manning every week.

I think we can beat Miami and Atlanta just with our defense alone and hopefully...HOPEFULLY we'll e 4-1 and Andre will be ready to come back at least Andre.

I'd like to see Darius get a shot, shoot he may have to since our RBs next week may be Gado and Walker, also Walker will give us 100% and I'd just like to see the guy get a shot.

But overall I think Schaub just may be that QB who makes his receivers better. You know like Brady, not saying he will but so far he has shown it. Also like Brady give this guy a star WR and they can tear teams up...how about it 2-0 with Schaub with Johnson :wild: :fans:

At least Owen is still healthy...at least man. I am getting nervous about the injuries though.

You know, I was looking over the schedule and if it's possible for there to be a 'good time' for having all these injuries - it's right now. Falcons/Dolphins/Jaguars (at this point in the season) is by far the easiest three-game stretch left in our schedule... I hope a lot of them are back for the Jags, because even though they've been our bitches in the past - they're gonna be TOUGH in that game.

If we don't have Andre back for the Jags we have a good chance at losing.

Their front 7 is about as good as any in the NFL and if they don't have to worry about the deep pass or Andre they can do what the Colts did and just stack the box and make us one dimensional.

That will come in three weeks. Although, winston has been playing better every week. It's not as crtical as I thought in the summer.

Everyone wondering why they kept the three centers and not the extra RB,FB or whatever, there ya go.

2-1 start, but at a cost basically.

I'm suprised about McKinney, thought he would be fine since he went back into the game.

I'm sure he hurt it even more when he came back in.

He's a soldier. When he was walking off the field and thought in my head it looked similar to Seth Payne limping off the field in Dallas....and Seth never played for us again. I'd hate to see Steve go.
