Colts @ Texans: Predict the score

I'll lead this off by saying with or without AJ we win

Texans 27
Colts 17

:fans:

Texans - 24
Colts - 10

Green - 103 yards 1 TD

I say that we finally reveal the fact that the Colts defense has not changed since last season.

I'm going with my "homerism" and picking us to win. It worked last week even though I was off on my score predictions.

Texans: 24
Colts: 20

Green: 82 Rushing
Schaub: 20-31 240 yds 2 td 1 Int

I think some of you are getting a bit carried away to think that our secondary can hold Manning and co. to under 3 TDs.

But I'd rather under-estimate and get surprised than over-estimate and get disapointed.

31 - 34 Texans

45-42 Texans over Colts

2 TD for JJ
1 TD KW
1 TD (rec) AG
1 TD OD
1 TD (rush) AG
1 FG KB

AJ sits out to heal up.

Well, I predicted a big win for the Texans last week vs. the Panthers. 27 - 10

This week, I'm going for the low scoring close game. (at least low for these two offensive powerhouses)

Texans 24 Colts 21

Kris Brown with a winning field goal with less than a minute left on the clock.

24 to 17 Colts. If AJ is out.
24 to 21 Colts. If AJ plays.

Let AJ sit out, and then we'll have an excuse to lose this one:gun: Not trying to be pessimistic, just realistic. I believe we can hold our own, but our secondary is too weak right now. Faggins can't cut it, and Demps and Boulware aren't up to speed yet. Hutchins is doing very well, but I think Peyton will exploit Faggins. They aren't a one-receiver team like Carolina, or a no-receiver team like KC. These guys have 3 great receivers and a punishing TE. Dunta can't cover everyone himself. But when we see them again in Indy, I think we take 'em!

Hope I'm wrong.

i think this is the best test we will have untill the end of the season right now i just wana see how matt schaubs offence will do aginst mannings if our
offence is even our defence will finish it but i will say because of the games allready

us 21 thim 13

:d: :texans chick: :texans chick: :d:

Texans 42 Colts 21

and to those who CLAIM to be Texans fans and pick Colts to win, don't come back whining when Colts lose

Colts 30
Texans 27

I think we'll keep it close, but without AJ I think our chances of winning went severely down. He's our best player. Losing your best player sucks. Hope I'm wrong on this one though.

Ahman Green - 95 yards

Colts - 31

Texans - 23

I think we hang tough with them, but with no A.J., the challenge has become much more difficult. Regardless, this should be a fun game - one we can certainly win!

I think you guys are totaly underestimating our defense and how well it has played since the beginning of the playoffs last season.

Colts - 28
Texans - 17

We're not the old Texans. We will still beat the Colts, we are a team now, our other receivers will step up now.

Texans 34:fans:
Co;ts 17

Green 108 yards
Dayne 102 yards

We're smashed on Kool-aid, just bear with us. I for one -do- think that the Colts defense is a force to be reckoned with, and Manning is, well, Manning. However, being a Texans fan, I cannot possibly bet against my team.

Texans 27
Colts 24

Green and Dayne split the runs and combine for 153 yards.

I hate to say it, and pray that I am WRONG........ but gut feeling is Colts 38..... Texans 17.......... it might just get UGLY! PLEASE......... I HOPE I AM WRONG!

It was a nice streak guys......but time for reality to set in.
Colts - 38
Texans - 20

Still nice to see you guys up there instead of the Jags! :thumbup

Texans 27

Colts 13

Green = 90 yds.

+

Dayne = 75 yds.

+

Manning = sacked 5 times

because

Colts running game is useless against us.

while i do feel now that the Texans will make the playoffs for the first time, i still don't think they're to the level of the Colts just yet, who will not be resting on their laurels after the loss in Houston last year. i think it'll be competitive for most of the game, but in the end, Indy pulls out the victory

Indianapolis - 34
Houston - 21

W/O Andre, I favor a similar scenerio. Close until the 4th, when Payton finds a way to score a couple of times.

I also feel we make the playoffs as a wild card for the first time ever. I said 9-7 prior to the opener. To make that, we just need to go 500 the rest of the way. I now feel 9-7 is on the low side. I say somewhere from 9-11 wins at this point. If you look at the way the AFC is stacking up at this VERY early point, it appears to me that Balt, SD and the Texans will be the ones vying for 2 wildcard spots. It's early and things can change, but that's how I see it.

Texans 10

Colts 24

Texans get a tough task with the colts, Texans keep it tight to the 3rd, but the Texans offense doesn't produce without AJ in the lineup, and the colts find some daylight and never look back. It would've been different with AJ in the lineup.

If we can't win without AJ then we are in a world of hurt. I think our WRs will be fine. I'm worried about our secondary. PM will pick them apart.

STILL, I will stick with our TEXANS..

Close game: Texans 17 Colts 14

I'm looking to see hopefully 20-25 carries with Green, just because he's getting 70+ yardage with only 15 carries. If we work him hard this week, he'll be greatly appreciated. However, Dayne astounded us last season against the Colts, and if he gets on a roll again, I want him to be running over defenders more.

AJ's out, but I think we'll see JJ working hard to prove himself he can be more than a backup/slot reciever. He'll maybe try to pull some magic out of his pocket like he did in the preseason. I hope he doesn't try too hard, because he'll never make it work that way. All the recievers need to pick up the slack if we're to win this game.

Our defense needs to force turnovers, like any other game.

If we do all of this I see us winning 24-17 in a hard fought game.

If we only do maybe one or two of the above. Close game, maybe OT. 21-28 Colts.

AJ isn't our Team Captain for no reason, he is the leader of this team, and he's our biggest threat, and it will be tough without him, I mean comon their the Defending Champions, I just don't see the Texans getting it done this week.

I the last game between us and the baby horses, Andre only caught 4 passes for less than 75 yards total, if memory serves me correctly, so I don't think we are doomed without him. We need to grind out the run against them and keep Manning and his recievers off the field. I think we can.
