LOL, how do you have 932 posts on here allready?

Anyways, try Harwin St. I think those little places have everything in a fake brand. I don't think that too many people make fake jerseys though. You might be able to get a good Carr or Boselli jersey.

Maybe I'm just a nit-picker but I've never seen a good fake jersey. I can always find something wrong with one pretty quickly. They are all over ebay right now and if you do a search there for "Football Jersey Made in China" and check the box marked "search title and description" you will get lots of hits. Sadly you will not find any Texans in there. These guys seem to be mostly doing runs of a handful of players (you can guess I'm sure, MANNING, TOMLINSON, BUSH, and repeat) but no Texans seem high-profile enough to be worth faking.

You should keep your eyes peeled for used real Texans jerseys if you want a bargain but that's just my opinion. I sometimes jump on them after the season ends when a lot of places put them on sale.

I don't remember, but perhaps Walmart has some at a good price. The best time is always after the season ends or late spring to early summer.

If you shop Ebay, it is best to check the sellers feedback number and rating. If the numbers are well into the hundreds or thousands and the ratings are 98 to 100%, then even if its fake, it isn't something that you would be ashamed to wear.

Personally, I like Ebay sellers who market jerseys with stitched letters. Tags naming companies such as Reebok and Nike can easily be stitched on and claimed as authentic. Even though I have a few that don't quite pass the authentic test, but are very well made, look good, and of much better quality than some of the screened ones that cost more.

I just purchased an authentic 49er jersey that came from the organization, complete with autograph. My son is an avid 49er fan and has an Ebay seller's version. In doing a comparison, there was a difference seen, and to our surprise the Ebay had nicer detail in the stripes than the authentic (fake, stitched stripes, authentic screened stripes).

I guess the questions to answer to is how real do you want it?

about 200 jerseys came up

You can get a Carr jersey on ebay for $10 before shipping.

Get that and then put duct tape on the back with Schaub's name to replace the name.

I bought a fake Mario jersey off of ebay last year for $30. I will say this, it looks a whole lot better and more real than those cheap iron on numbered replicas that the NFL sells for $70 in some cases. I wore it last year down there and several were amazed that it was an ebay knock off. However when it comes to ebay knock offs you never know what you are going to get. I have been lucky so far with both football and soccer jerseys.

The best way to search ebay knock offs is to search "texans authentic jersey". The knock offs always advertise as authentic because of the sewn on numbers.

Here's my $.02....

The recommendations all listed above I can say "Amen" to.

1) I've picked up a handful of Chinese or whatever "authentic" jerseys off of ebay. So said, I think that these do look considerably better and seem to be of better quality that the "replica" jerseys that one runs across on the team websites, etc. If nothing else, your undershirt color won't show up through your numbers. Some of them are better than others, but a couple that I snagged have been really nice and worth the money. Great deals, actually.

2) I also scored one of the DD/DW EQT jerseys and it is pretty nice as well. If you don't have a ton of cash, that's a nice route to go and no one is going to throw beer on you for wearing the jersey of the Texans' all-time leading rusher (er, at least I think that they wouldn't).

3) I've got a couple of David Carr jerseys - blue and white - and I'm currently hunting a local source to replace the nameplates with a Schaub nameplate. I found one source but I'm trying to find a better one that uses the "dazzle" material to match the upper. If I can find a source and the prices are reasonable, I'll be sure to pass that along.

I will pass it along.

Actually, the biggest problem right now isn't going to be the tackle twill lettering, I've found a source for that. What I really need is a source for the dazzle (man, I feel awfully freakin' cheesy when I type that) material. One can't just order blank nameplates. The NFL Gestapo has put the clamps on that.

So said, if we could rustle up a couple of yards of close-enough-to-liberty-white and awful-lot-like-deep-steel-blue dazzle material to make some blank nameplates then I could line up the lettering and a embroidery shop...

I wonder if this stuff would work:

http://www.hancockfabrics.com/shopp...ID=18304&itemType=PRODUCT&RS=1&keyword=dazzle

Probably just pie in the sky but I'm going to keep plugging away at it.

MBM -

I just got off the phone with an embroidery shop right down the road from my house (in Lake Charles, LA) and they said that they are pretty confident that they ought to be able to change out the nameplates only.

I'll drop them off on Monday of next week then report back with cost and lead time. I know you'd have to pay postage and such, but this at least gives you a ray of hope that maybe that Carr jersey is more than just really expensive toilet paper.

Outstanding. Rep is headed in your direction. :)

I wonder when Walker will become better and I can tape over my Dominic Davis / Williams / prince / artist formally known as . . . anyways you get the point. Come on Walker make 37 Look good.

Hopefully these guys will be able to convert the Carr jerseys to Schaub. Then I can turn my old Foreman into a Greenwood.... ah, screw that. I'll make that one personalized for me.

Finish line and a couple of stores in Ingram park mall here in SA have a couple of Battle Red Andre for about 44 to 64. They have schaub blue mario blue and white. I am looking for Schaub battle red.

They've had a vendor on eBay that's been hawking some battle red Schaubs with sewn numbers and letters for about 75 dollars.

So, you sought advice on getting cheap Texans jerseys, then you go out and get cheap Titans jerseys? What, Cato June Colts jerseys weren't available, no Byron Leftwich jerseys out there?

i lived in memphis for 3 years, i was a titans fan and still am my two favorate team are the texans and titans when the play i dont care who wins, i dont beileve in the at rivalry crap.

WTF!!

Rivalry crap? Being a true fan of a team requires you to know who your rival is. That's the fun of actually following a team 100%. The Titans are who I consider our biggest rival, and to me, you can't be a true Texans fan if you're also a Titans fan. My humble opinion.

......ok so we are accepting to a chef's fan and a panthers fan but not a texans fan ? come on

Seems like you picked up a pretty good deal if it includes S&H also. Did the seller have a good feedback rating? I assume that the jerseys are screened alpha/numeric. Also, I assume that you ordered an actual jersey and not the jersey card. Enjoy!

......ok so we are accepting to a chef's fan and a panthers fan but not a texans fan ? come on

Who are the chef's - they are the ones who prepare your food at a restaurant -but coming from Tenn I guess that explains a lot.

Did you by chance mean the Chief's?

......ok so we are accepting to a chef's fan and a panthers fan but not a texans fan ? come on

First, I'm assuming you mean to be a Titans fan in your post. Second, you can't be a Texans fan and a Titans fan. It's just not possible. I can somewhat understand being a VY/Texans fan but you can't root for both teams. Do you litter a Titans fan board with massive amounts of posts as well? You should.

The Chiefs and Panthers fans aren't also fans of teams in their division I'm sure. No way a Chiefs fan is a Raiders fan and you're probably not going to find a Panthers fan who loves the Saints or Falcons.

Again, you're not a true Texans fan if you like the Titans. It's just impossible.

......ok so we are accepting to a chef's fan and a panthers fan but not a texans fan ? come on

Yes we accept any fan who comes to this board to have friendly banter with and discuss the upcoming game.

But you claim to be a Texans fan and with the animosity between the titans and the Texans, all of a sudden you are both after you got the jersey's on the cheap. So people are pretty much perplexed and like Bandwagon said there is no way to be a titans fan and a Texans fan at the same time.

Lay down with dogs do not be surprised if you get fleas.

I do not like johnsonfan. I'm in no way defending the kid here but I'd like to refute bandwagon's statement saying that he can't be a Texans fan as well as a Titans. Come on, dude. When the Oilers left Houston without a football team, I followed them over to Tennessee. The team that left Houston did not have a choice in the relocation. How could I stop rooting for Matthews, George, McNair, and so on and on. I loved them as Houston Oilers and remained devoted to them until the Houston Texans came to life. I then reverted my loyalty back to Houston. I venhently hate the Titans but I have a soft side for them somewhat. I had to support a NFL team when Houston was without. What better team than the one that had players who started with the Houston Oilers?

I'm just saying... it's ok to be a fan of another team. Especially the Tennessee Titans. Remember, Jeff Fisher started his coaching tenure as an Oiler.

yes they were the jerseys and 100 percent ratings on both, its tite, and also thanks for those who understand where i am coming from i have lived in both places and like both teams but no i am not on a titans board. I cheer for both teams so deal.

It really puts a whole new light on anything you post, knowing you are really a Titans fan in disguise.

I understand where you're coming from. The Oilers died to me the day they left Houston and I hated them the day they left. I understand having a soft spot for them but I'm sure you couldn't say that you don't care who wins or loses when the teams face off now.

I just don't know how it's possible to actually root for both teams at the same time. I guess I was just perplexed to see someone ask for cheap jersey advice from Texans fans and then go out and get Titans gear. That made me scratch my head a bit.

GO TEXANS!!!! :fans: :fans: :fans:

It all makes sense to me now, JohnsonFan.

Your posts were always jumbled pieces of crap, unintelligent at best, and now I see you are a Titans fan.........

It's all coming together!

I'd be too afraid the idiocy would seep through the tape and taint Schaub's good name. I'm just gonna wait for the real thing to come out. I wanted a Jersey pretty bad last year but was not about to consider buying carr's

80 looks like a good number though -I like 90 & 91 too so who knows!

I just cant jinx my self with anything "Carr" related

AMEN! Titan players may not have had a choice but it was the fans who really suffered. I am just bitter after it all... and doubt i'll ever get over that. I was a 'Boys fan for a bit but just got so tired of the drugs and garbage that I just faded away and lost interest in NFL for a bit. When i heard the Texans were coming... I was SO there... (figuratively) Now, although I'll support the 'Boys as a Texas team ...thats as far as my loyalty goes.

I still cant stand the RedSkins (my wife is a fanatic fan). **giving her a grim stare**
