Texans...come on. This one is for the fans. You are the only team in the NFL that has never had a winning streak. Think about that. Never has this team won 3 in a row. Half a decade of football and the best we could do is back to back wins. It's time...it's just time. We win the last two games of last season and you give us our finest exhibition season in team history....and you roll out a new team song for opening day, and with a childlike enthusiasm I open the page to hear our new team song and to my horror the song is loaded with Tuba! Tuba? Yes, Tuba! Good grief...you owe us a winning streak...and we want it NOW.

should I bring you some German Bier then der Vinny? I have no doubts whatsoever that this game officially signals in a new era of winning. all I ask is for my fellow Texans to be respectful of their guests & not pile on the score, its a long season & elephants have even longer memorys :cool:

I wonder if using a curse word like that will get me banned, that would Tennesee Titan. anyways Its about time for a streak in the real world. I am virtually undefeated in Madden 08,,,, oh there is a poewr button on the remote. I didnt know that could explain my record.... If only the Texans could win like they do in the game.

Well, hate to be the party pooper but week 3 we play the Colts.

but 4, 5, 6, and 7 we play Falcons, Dolphins, Jags and Titans so there might be a chance there to go on a streak.

We won our last two games of the season. If we win tomorrow this will be our first winning streak ever technically.
 
I know that virtually our entire current roster hasn’t been here since day 1, but they can sympathize with what it feels like to be a Texan fan. This year is our vindication towards all the talking heads, local columnist and drop out fans that are going to be begging to get back on the Texan’s wagon. Our day will come, that just so happens to be today! Make us proud!
 
I agree Vinny we need a winning streak not some lame song for the pep band. At the start of the 3rd Quarter I want a Mathis KO return for a TD to blow the game open. It's 3:49 am, time to pack the car for the tailgate.

I see no reason why Houston can't start this season 2-0 over the Chiefs and Panthers, so that would be a four game streak.

But on the subject of tuba's, I guessing non of y'all have been to a Tuba Christmas concernt. They're actually really cool (but then again I've played in one :D)
 
you guys are the most funny ppl i know come on u think we will have a 2 game winning streak and beat the panthers... NO WAY GUYS! We will be having a 19 game winning streak fo sho!
 
Sorry to break it to you guys. But you dont have much of a chance against the Panthers. You did beat the Chiefs. They suck. I will give you the win in 03We played bad in that game, and with Morgan injured our defence wasn't great. Then again we had the game won if Jermaine Wiggins would have caught the 5 yd TD pass.

We crushed the St.Louis Lambs today. They had a top 5 offense last year. With our ned Offensive Coordinator our Offensive attack cannot be stopped. With the new zone blocking system, deangelo williams and deshaun foster are doing great things. Jakey boy had 3 touchdown passes, one of those passes a 60 something yarder to Smith. The other two to Carter who is having a break out season.

Our front four really stepped up. (Rucker,Makkeoutu,Jenks,Peppers) even our backup DE grigsby had a good game as did our backup tackle # 92 Damione Lewis. Our best backup defensive linemen Stanley McClover wasnt even activated, nor was our beast from USC Dwayne Jarrett. Dan Morgan had 5 tackles and he didn't blitz the whole game. Your passing attack isnt even close the intimidating level of the Lambs, so you can expect alot more pressure from our Lb's.

Our broken secondary even showed greatness, holding the rams from a pass over 20 yards all day, and also showing that they are hard hitters. Our Cornerbacks are some of the best in the game. Gamble is an amazing open field tackler, and a good shutdown corner. Ken lucas is one of the most respected Corners in the league, being right behind Champ Bailey in Average yards per completion and interceptions. Richard Marshall was easily the best rookie corner in the league last year. He is the best nickel back in the league.

I will give you that Matt Shuabb is a good Quarterback. I would have much rather taken him then David Carr. But Carr has potential if he can only be pulled out of his shock and awe from having to play behind and offensive line such as yours.

Yes I see no reason either.

Unlike the Kitten fans that have invaded the board the second they won their game, I think we are on par with the kittens.

I think after stopping LJ...like stopping him completely, no one in the kitty backfield scares me. I think we can't stop Steve Smith too much. I gues have Dunta playing man on him would be our best choice since I don't trust our safeties to pick him up in a zone properly. But our best chance to stop Stevie is to stop and pressure Delhomme.

Delhomme isn't a cream of the crop QB. He isn't a Manning or Brady who laughs at the face of pressure and says "You dare blitz me...ha ha, 1st down."

Delhomme when pressured is very very ordinary. While he had a good game against the Rams (Yeah Kitty kat fans, the Rams have a EXCELLENT defense) I do not expect him to have a good game.

While I predicted the Chiefs game as 24-7, I see this one as much close and a key play in the 4th qtr will probably define it. Hopefully while we play the Kittens the Colts defense will look normal again in week 2 so I can go into that game with optimisim win or lose the game against the Kitties.
