As always, arguments can be made, but interesting. Only two CB's listed and I don't see how you rank Terrence Newman as the 2nd best CB in football, and 7 RB's is ridiculous.

Where's

B. Dawkins & Ray Lewis & Roy Williams?

& shockey, Winslow, & Rudi Johnson should not be on there... garbage
 
Wow there's so much I disagree with I don't know where to start....

Pretty much the only thing that I agreed with was Tomlinson, Manning, and Brady being 1,2 and 3...
 
I got so many problems with some of the rankings and some of the omissions that I don't even know where to start.....still pretty well constructed at the top besides his love of WR.

Fitzgerald Top 20? Lee Evans in top 50? Javon Walker at #26? Chad at #11? haha

geez, i don't even think AJ should be in the Top 20...Top 50 sure...this guy is sorely lacking on defensive playmakers and OL and seems to be enamored with WRs.

Where is Sean Taylor, Brian Dawkins, Will Shields, Alan Faneca, Orlando Pace, Alex Brown, and PacMan Jones?

Ray Lewis deserved to be on the list a few years ago, but not now. Roy Williams--borderline--who you gonna kick off to put him on. Winslow on the list is a joke--total potential rather than performance.

I actually gave the guy credit for NOT putting Roy Williams on this list. The guy gets burned like toast constantly. He cost the Cowboys 3 games last year EASILY. If any Cowboy should be in the Top 50 it should be Owens...Newman is nice and isn't given much help over the top but he got burned a lot as well.
 
the list is mostly skill guys....I think too many fans have a fantasy football mentality at times.
 
it looks like he just read last year's stat sheet without putting any real work or thought into it. he's definitely a "fantasy football" type of fan.

I was actually talking of Roy Williams From Detroit not the FS.... He deserves to be on there before the guys i mentioned before.

& Ray Lewis even on the downside of his career is still better than most MLBs in the league not named Urlacher.

Absolutely. That's why they can't understand how a defensive playmaker could be chosen in a Draft ahead of a pass receiver who has the opportunity to score TDs. Speaking of Reggie Bush, if this was ESPNs story they would have him ranked ahead of LT.

ahh ok. yeah I think Roy is better than Javon Walker by quite a wide margin.
 
This writer deserves a beat down. Only thing he did right was not having any Tacks on his list, not even the man who proclaimed Reliant Stadium to be his home. :splits:
 
because im really bored, heres my list:

ranked by position (ie brady's the best qb etc)

qb's- brady, manning, brees, palmer, mcnabb
rb's- LT, LJ, Portis, Steven Jackson
wr's- steve smith, #85,TO, roy williams, boldin, fitzgerald, aj
te- gates
ot- walter jones, ogden, pace, levi jones (injured last yr but im a big fan), mcneill (very impessive rookie)
og- andrews, faneca, hutchinson
oc- (is there any standout C that are top 50- cant think of any)
de- freeney, peppers, taylor
dt- kevin williams, tommie harris, jamal williams, hampton, rogers, henderson
olb- bulluck, peterson
mlb- urlacher, ray lewis, vilma
cb- champ, clements, asomougha(sp?), pacman (turd but is a quality cb), newman, rashean/hall (both are pretty good but get burned at times)
fs- dawkins, taylor
ss- reed, wilson, polamalu, rhodes


alot of defensive players on the bubble...plus im prob forgetting others
