David Carr gets a starting job somewhere else, and plays us in Reliant Stadium? Do you boo him, cheer for him, or stand in silence? I would cheer for him. Im happy with our new QB but i wish DC the best. I hope he can prove to the DC haters of the world that his problems here were not all is fault.

If you cheer for him while he is playing us you would be cheering against the Texans. Now I think the ? should be would you cheer for him when he plays every team besides the Texans.

i wouldnt be cheering for him during the game. im a texan fan to heart but i would give him a hand during the player intro's. and yes i would cheer for him when he plays other teams. i hope he proves all his nah sayers wrong.

If he gets a starting gig somewhere else, I'm not going to boo him. But I'm not going to cheer him when he's playing us. When he's playing other people, whether I cheer him or not will probably depend on who he's playing for and who he's playing against.

If he's on the Jags or the Titans, I'm not cheering him. Period.

I would get his autograph and a lock of his hair.

Then sell it on Ebay to get 10,000 times my ticket price back from the legions of diehard Carr fanatics.

Win Win situation.

I voted Mutter to my neighbor.

I love football and I love the Texans so I of course wouldn't cheer for him. I want Carr to succeed where ever he goes to play, except against the texans...i hope we win every game of course. I also wouldn't boo him because i think it's kind of classless, I wouldn't boo any player unless they committed a personal foul or something against one of our players, the refs, coaches, fans, cheerleaders..anybody. He knows many people dislike him in houston and he doesn't need me reiterating that.

I want to know what Carr is going to do with the huge unfinished house that he was building before he was traded.

This one is easy.

You boo him.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

*caviat - if he gets slobberknocked but gets right back up, a brief standing 'O'
followed by more boos.

how about, would you cheer him if his team was in the SB when they played in Reliant?

Good. There were "fans" last year who cheered for VY.

let's no make this into another vy debate..but if you like VY...What's wrong with cheering for him except when he plays the texans. Just because you dont boo someone doesnt mean you want them to win. he specifically said i'm not going to cheer for him when he plays for the texans. I don't want the guy to have a horrible career and why anybody would is beyond me..thats more than hating on the guy..

I'll start licking my chops...... & wait for our Defense to finally set a sacking record.

I wish DC the best. Still, he no longer wears Battle Red. He plays against us, he gets the boo. Nothing personal.

I didn't even make it past your opening statement. You BOO ANYONE not a TEXAN when they come to our house. What in the world are you thinking??
I, not being Catholic, don't care if it's the Pope. If he doesn't know, and root,
for OUR team, I'd boo him out of Reliant. Or at least throw many nerfballs at the TV since I never get to see a game live. Thank God for NFL Sunday Ticket

Yeah me too. Only before the start of the game. After that the gloves come off and hope we rip him a new one. Unlike some VY fans I refuse to acknowledge that were in our house last year.

I'll act like a human being (in the good sense of the term) and have some class.
LOL. Not me. I'll act like one rabid *** Texan fan. I don't want ANYONE coming into my house and feeling like they can put their feet on MY coffe table. I'll act like a human being the other 6 days of the week.
:wild: :wild: :wild:

I'd give a complimentary golf clap when he's first introduced back into OUR house... but when the game starts and everytime after that, he's on his own.

It was like watching VY when he played against us. I hope that he has a good game, but in the end it's about the Texans getting the W. Obviously that didn't go well last year. I'll be cheering for DC when he's playing other teams though.

I will never cheer for anyone on the opposing team, especially in our house.

However, If he gets back up looking through the ear hole in his helmet after Mario slobberknocks him, I won't cheer. I'll buy the man a beer.

I will boo him....

If I can boo Ken Caminiti when he was a Texas Ranger at Minute Maid, I can boo David Car. Not that it has anything to do with it being 'David Carr' here at Reliant, but rather he would be the enemy quarterback in my house.... Boooooooo!!

I'd root for the Texans like any other game because Carr would be on the sideline with a clipboard.:)

thats exactly what I was going to say. A nice round of applause when his named is introduced befor the game and that is it, just to show respect but when the game starts he is what he is and that is the enemy. I wish him the best in whatever he does but he is no longer a texan.

Some of you guys are just pathetic! Carr's gone. Get over it.

While he was here, he took a royal beating every game for this team & never complained about it, or pointed any fingers at anyone. He was a class act in every way, which is way more than I can say for some of you. The guy kept getting up off the turf & showed over & over how tough he was. Since the trade & his subsequent release, has anyone heard him say one negative thing about the organization, or it's fans? And still, you ungratefull ingrates want to boo him when he comes to town. That's beyond pathetic.

I love the Texans, but that first game, I'm going to cheer for him so loud that the dead will wake up. I pray that he comes in here & runs up a big score, just to shut you peckerwoods up. And, I'll make a bet with you, even if he does run up a big score, he'll still show all the class in the world during post game interviews.

Im in a catch 22. I usually boo the opposition. But, if you boo DC (even though I don't see the point in boo'n someone holding a clip board)...he'll start to feel at home again. If he gets in the game...knowing Houston Sports, he could very well get that "19-10 feeling" again, and pull a "W" out his arse. So......*shrugs*...I'on know just yet.

Decisions...decisions...

I wouldn't boo him, but I wouldn't cheer for him either. I don't wish him ill, but I do hope we beat him in a good game everytime we play what ever team he ends up on.

I would cheer. Prolly Cheer more than I've ever cheered during a Texans game as Carr makes the Texan D look like the 06 Bears/Ravens.....: :wild:

I'm a Texans fan plain and simple. All other teams we play are the enemy! Now I dont hate every team, but I only have love for 1. I'd never cheer a player on a team that's playing against my Texans. All except for Patrick Ramsey but only because he's family. I'm not even sure i'd cheer for him if he plays against us, I just wouldnt boo him.

0-16, 16-0 I'm a Texan for life!

I always cheer for a good or great play. I groan when I see a bad one. I don't see changing there. Also I respect any player who plays with heart and guts. So that tells me Yes, I will cheer for him.

..."plays with heart and guts..." OK, now if he can just find a team.

i'd cheer him irregardless. as long as he doesn't try and run the score up and try and show up the texans. fortunately...he's not that type of person. i'll still root for the texans, but i'll cheer for him because i'm glad he's going to be in a better place.

I'm sorry, but this line struck me as quite humerous.
