Newest FOX SPORTS Mock Draft is out

oakland just won't pass on johnson. peterson won't fall that far. no reason for the giants to reach on jarrett when they have burress (same player) and drafted sinorice moss last year. too low for ginn. not that good.

PS Did the Ravens get a new logo? Its freaky.

naw, that's an alternate logo, i believe... or one that was never used.

and i'd be bouncing off the walls with that pick. i don't think schaub would have to pass the ball all that much with a green/peterson combo with dayne to punch it in on goalline/3rd-4th down situations... man, i almost let out a tear of joy at just the thought of it...

I don't think this will happen, but if AP gets by Cleveland I can see this. What I think is more likely if CJ is available at 2, Atlanta trading up and then Detroit taking AP at 8. Without any trades, if AP would have made it to 8 I could see him making it to 10. Maybe not probable, but definetly possible.

that mock is way off once he gets past Okoye to Washington. If AP was to fall to #10 it would be the ultimate '2nd chance' for the Texans. Would they pull a Derrick Johnson/VY/Bush and jilt conventional wisdom and upset the majority of their fans? AP would be an incredible pick at 10.

The Fox mock draft loses a lot of credibility when they have the Dallas Cowboys taking an offensive guard in the first round as a replacement for Marco Rivera. The Cowboys have already replaced Rivera at right guard by signing Leonard Davis.

Maybe because Kubiak doesn't like him? Theoretically, of course.

But, we did pass up McNeil last year for Demeco and Ferguson for Mario, what makes everyone think we won't do the same thing this year?

McNeal was drafted after Ryans. So was Winston Justice who will replace Tra Thomas Within the next year or two.

We probably would've traded down last year if that was a possibility and picked Ferguson. I know there's a lot being said about him giving up more sacks then Salaam But keep in mind, not making excuses just pointing a few things out here, They play Miami(and MVP Jason Taylor twice), they play N.E. twice, last year they played Indy(and Freeney), Chicago(even without Harris Scary front four),Oakland(Derrick Burgess is a former NFL sack leader) and oh yeah rookie adapting to a new NFL playbook.

Add to that a RBBC scenario just as off as ours last year and they made the playoffs. FAirly sure they won't have to think about LT for a while there or Center. Must be nice.

That was kind of my point. We could have drafted McNeil, but we drafted Ryans. We could have drafted Ferguson, we drafted Mario. If Kubiak had any interest in Ferguson at all, he would have entertained trades on draft day, but we signed Mario the day before the draft, that kind of makes it clear who he wanted.

I don't know how much input Kubiak had in Denver's drafts but only once in his 11 year tenure with Denver did they draft an o-lineman in the 1st round. And that guy just got traded after only 4 years in the league(see Dre Bly trade).

OK when i saw that before this mock they had AP at 12....well....this all goes out the window. Thats just horrible.

McNeal isn't really a ZBS Left Tackle. More of a classic Road girder style, power guy. I'm sure they entertained trade downs. The fact of a trade down is you have to find a partner to trade down. I just don't think anyone was really willing to trade up last year. Ryans was also projected to be a middle first rounder and when he fell we jumped at the bit. Not complaining now of course.

I'm also going to assume prior to Kubiaks tenure in Denver they already had talent in place on the offensive line to allow them time to groom prospects and allow them to grow into their positions. We don't have that luxury.

You guys know what? I was looking at the highlight film of Peterson and <cue "Twilight Zone" theme song> I kind of got the feeling he could re-define the position. I think he's Superman in a football uniform <Hervoyel settles into a blank, zombie like stare> I think he could be the next Gayle Sayers. He's the kind of back who comes along once a decade, maybe.....
