If I hear to following two things on TV, radio, or the Internet 1 more time, I am going to puke...

1. David Carr= Tom Brady. Everyone knows the Texans offensive line was/is the problem with Carr.

2. We should have drafted Vince Young.


Besides. What did those 3 heifers do for show prep? Read this message board while eating Haagen Daaz?

But that middle girl...... she talks about "who is Matt Schaub", then goes to call the Falcons the biggest looser in this, because the WCO needs an accurate passer, which they had in Schaub, but not in Vick.

She says our problem was our offensive line, but the Falcon's problem was Vick. There is very little difference between what Vick has done, and what David has done here with their arms. Except Vick has thrown more TDs, more passess over 25 yards, and has done more with his legs. Neither have shown themselves to be competent QBs in this league, but Vick has been more successful, with less talent on offense.
 
first off...i feel dumber after watching that. second...it's so blatantly obvious that whole thing was scripted. it's only eight in the morning here in the 'no, but now i feel like a drink.

In 2001, Brady(a second year player) was sacked 41 times, and won a Super Bowl Throwing 18 TDs, with then unknown recievers.
In his best year(2004), David Carr was sacked 49 times, and threw 16 TDs with a Pro Bowl Wide reciever.

In 2006, Carr was sacked 41 times, and threw 11 TDs with two Pro Bowl recievers.

the only reason i lasted more than 5 seconds into that is the cute chick that provides the segways. "babes" is a very loosely used term and their "sports" insight would only be worth a dime if this was made 2 years ago. for all intents & purposes ... this is the ugly female version of joe theisman, skip clueless, and stuart scott.

Agreed. I just find it curious how folks with a hole in their clue bags can jump to such conclusions. It's like Carr's agent is sending out talking points memos and BSPN and others are running with it.

Anyone. I mean ANYONE who watched all of the Texans games last year could see the camel in the tent.

Yes. The line had problems due to injuries. However, Carr did not help himself at all. He lost the confidence of his coaches, teammates, and fans.

Therefore, it was time for a change. It's not that hard to figure out.:lightbulb:

She was also the one with the "Houston we have a problem" comment, the "They should have drafted Vince" comment. and the "offensive line is terrible" comment. Tremendous depth and fresh insight there ..... not.

The middle bit... err ....bimb... uh ... the one in the middle is quite annoying. I think I even caught a few snorts in there when she was laughing at her own bad, and highly scripted jokes.

That piece was almost as bad as the 10:00 hour on Thursdays on SR610.

I think they are doing a disservice to knowledgeable sports babes everywhere.
 
1. They started off by saying Why Matt schaub who is he? he hasn't proven anything? Then when they started talking about the falcons they mentioned vick didn't fit well and that they had schaub who would have done great! they completely contradiced themselves. dumb writers.

2. Again the draft debate. Apparently we made a mistake passing on Vince young AND reggie bush. We signed ahamn green so thats saying we should have drafted reggie. we signes schaub so thats saying we should have drafted vince. WE CANT DRAFT BOTH PLAYERS!!!

-If we would have drafted Vince Young and then this offseason signed Ahman Green still....they would be saying omg they should have drafted Reggie instead of signing green...texans are dumb.!

we should get the girls from Naked Weather to do this instead.

Anyways, the girls offer the same opinions everyone else is offering, the only difference is that their main appeal is their beauty. It distracts some from realizing that they contradict themselves horribly. They question us trading for Schaub saying he's unproven (blah blah blah), and then go on to say that he's a great passer.

I mean, are they any more qualified to be respected perspectives? (i.e. more than an average forum member who follows the team?)

The 2006 draft is a dead horse, and I'm losing any/all respect for any media type that mentions it. They are nothing but herd members following popular opinion, and offer nothing of value to the discussion. We've heard this same tired retreaded takes for a year now. Either they should seek to educate or shed new light...otherwise, stfu, imo.
