Wreck'em Ŧech!
Im doing this on another site, figured I might as well move it over here. If possible, can I get it stickied to as it can be put to good use? BTW, the deadline to declare for the draft is January 15th, so we should see some big decisions coming up soon. And for those wondering, the lists are organized by position then alphabetically.

If Revis and Cason declare, would Hall still most likely get drafted before them? If both declare I think a trading down would be a smart decision, get a quality cb, which is needed, an extra pick, and not such a big hit on our salary cap.

I'd be happy with Landry/Nelson/Cason/or Revis.

Id be a toss up depending on workouts, but They could all go around picks 10 - 20. It should come down to if the team is drafting more for potential or immediate impact. Hall has been productive and could probably help out right away while Cason and Revis would need abit of time to develop.

I heard Rice was petitioning for eligibility.
I presume you mean Ray Rice since Sidney is elidgable . . . ?

Sidney. Caught me off guard, but it was ESPN.

Sidney's already elidgable, he's a RS Sophmore. He's already said he was returning, I have his name and the link in the Return section if you want to read it. It is possible he's leaving for the draft, but as of now he said he's returning.

I checked out the link and noticed it was dated in Novemer. The guys calling the game were talking about how Spurrier would promise certain numbers and somehow Mike Williams' name was mentioned.

Timmons has signed with Drew Rosenhaus, so you can put him under the declaring for draft column.

He's there already. Ive got a buddy on another site named NinersLacking who somehow finds articles and stuff out right away, so he's helping me with it.

Brohm acted like he wasn't totally sold on staying last night after the Orange Bowl. JMO.
He isnt completely sold, but last I heard he said he's staying for now. It should be interesting how some draft grades will effect their decisions (ie Sidney Rice). For those unfamiliar with it, theirs a draft committee where players can submit their name to them and they'll say where they think the player will go. Most times, their pretty harsh about it but for good reason.

Yea the '08 draft is looking real solid in QB, RB, and LT. Should be really interesting and i would expect some good people to fall to the 2nd round with so many quality 1st-2nd rounders. I'd imagine we spend next years first day on offense and this years on defense. You have to take what the draft gives you and that's kind of how the stars are aligning.

Agreed Old Miss. I believe we're going to see a lot of hooting and hollaring from the All Day and Troy Smith crowds the end of April. Going to be Ko Simpson squared.

Lawrence Timmons is pretty talented if he is going to play in college and the nfl next year. He already declared.:)

No official word on the best draft eligable OT in Gaither?
Gaither is a Soph. He was moved back to RT this year when Stephon Heyer returned from injury to claim his LT position. While Heyer made All ACC, Honorable Mention, Gaither was not listed. I think he still has something to prove from his own conference before being showered with all the accolades and praise.

You just wait. Gaither is a top 10 pick when he enters.

However, he is 3 years removed from HS and is draft eligable as a soph. I know all about the kid, was just wondering if anyone had heard official word while I was at work.

Accolades will come, but talent never leaves.

Moreover, where ever Gaither lined up... Friedgen put a wing man with him. I don't know and I ain't in the loop, but I ain't about to dispute the old offensive tackle. Gaither is staying in school. He's not ready yet. Heyer however, might be a day two prospect.

Agree on Gaither. He looks good for the future, but no way right now. He's got too much to do in terms of tecnhnique and maturity. He'll be top 10 sooner or later, but needs to be patient and keep working hard until then.

BTW, any chance a mod can sticky this?

I saw that. Looked like he walked out. OUCH!
I wasn't too far behind him when I was born. I was 12 lbs and 2 ft tall. Can't say I'm nearly as large as he is now though. He's probably got me beat by a good 6 inches and 100 lbs or so.

Nope actually I wasn't. My mother reminded me quite frequently of that fact.

I wasn't even the biggest baby born that day in the Houston area. There was one born who was 14 lbs or so.
Your mother should remind you of that. Probably should have slaped you ever day for it to.:tease:

Missed the window there Lork88 on the edit. I see mine all the time.

SO. has anyone seen anything on Micheal Bush ? I mean how long does a red shirt hearing take ?

those are two players who will now be in play for the Texans :)
Meachem is flying under radars and is being said to be a late first/early second right now. Granted it won't stay that way for long, but would you take him in the second with our other pressings needs?

meachem said about a month ago that the only way he was declaring was if he were given a first round grade by the NFL. he's a first rounder right now, and a strong combine will only help him even more.

Most professional draft sites and experts have him as a late first/early second.

Our opinions on him may be the same, but others don't agree just yet.

meh, gaither should've waited a year.
Agreed, I don't think any players should really enter after only having been in college for 2 years. He's got some serious talent, but still needs time to develop and learn. As long as he isn't thrown into the fire too soon however, he SHOULD be fine. It'll be interesting to see how he grades out and where he goes.
