Figured you guys would like this. He's on the list with some of the game's elite players:

DeMeco vs. rookies past...

With two games left to play, rookie LB DeMeco Ryans has a chance to finish the season with more tackles than any rookie in the last 20 years. Jonathan Vilma of the Jets recorded 105 total stops en route to winning Rookie of the Year honors in 2004, and Chicago’s Brian Urlacher had 123 total stops to win Rookie of the Year in 2000. Miami LB Zach Thomas had 154 tackles and Baltimore LB Ray Lewis had 110 stops as rookies in 1996. Denver S Steve Atwater recorded 129 tackles in 1989, and Detroit LB Chris Spielman had 153 as a rookie in 1988.

Ryans already has more tackles and more solo tackles than any of the last five linebackers who won AP Defensive Rookie of the Year honors recorded in a full season. In fact, Ryans’ tackle total this season is greater than each of those players’ totals this year as well.

Man I wish we had DJ instead of TJ to go with Demeco. I think Ryans may be the best PLAYER on the team, regardless of position.

Never has a clean jersey.

Demeco reminds me of Baltimore Colts LB-Mike Curtis. Mike was nick-named "the Animal" because of how tough and agressive he was. Mike was all over the field, involved on the majority of the plays.

Remember one game I was watching on TV. The ball was sitting on field, while the teams were huddling. a fan ran out and grabbed the ball. Mike ran to the fan and busted his arse! That was great!

Bobby 119C

Demeco is a stud and deserves whatever recognition he gets. Hey fellas just think if that "defensive minded" ex-coach of ours hadn't gotten rid of Sharper. A healthy Wong, Ryans and sharper would of been pretty good.

Ryans and Sharper play the same position, although Sharper is retired (I think).

Yeah I knew that but I'm sure one of them could've moved over. Just day dreaming a little bit. He still shouldn't have gotten rid of him. He doesn't still play for Seattle?

I'm not sure, but I believe all indications were that Sharper wanted to leave. He didn't seem very happy with our coaching staff (and maybe Carr).

Glenn was a loss, Sharper wasn't, he's not even playing anymore. Glenn was a big loss both from a leadership and a quality of play issue. Might not have been still a starting CB, but one heck of a nickle. I suspect that wasn't a role he was willing to play in Houston. Not sure why, that's what he went and did in *******. Might have to do with us being an expansion team and a bad one at that to play nickle on Vs. a team that is well thought of from a historical standpoint and a possible playoff contender.
