Agreed with that kofstranostra. I'd just as soon get Sneven Blevens late day two or as a FA if we gotta have a half pint half back. Just me. Anything under 5-8 and 210 I want on someone else's team. If the NFL caught up to the King of the swamp, they'll catch up with this guy. I'm assuming now everyone agrees...RB wasn't worth fifty million ?

What no love for Ballard, Taylor, White & Blake ? Know there is nothing written in stone, inspite of the chihuahua's drivel this morning, that Kubes going to fall in love with the boads big three QBs. Might be someone else.

Why would you not want Wolfe besides his size? It can't be his production over his career because that is amazing. It can't be his speed because he can take it to the house every play. It can't be his vision because he finds the hole quickly and hits it. It can't be because he wouldn't fit our system because he does in that fact that he makes a quick hard cut and gets up field quickly and makes things happen. It can't be of where he is projected to go because he is a 5th-6th round back. It can't be the money he's going to be slotted because he'll make close to the min. Soo...why exactly wouldn't you want him on your team besides his stature?

It really his about his thickness. He needs more of it if he wants to play RB in the NFL. Just for effectiveness and to remain healthy.

At 5'7" and 170 lbs he could not take the pounding he would get in the NFL. Garrett will not break any tackles in the NFL or get any yards after contact. DL an LBs can bench press him with 1 arm. He is situational at best. If you review the history of NFL RBs you will not find any long term successful RBs under 5'8".

I'm not looking for him to be an everydown back. I'd look for him to be a 5th-6th rounder we use as a change of pace back who can help us stretch the field when needed. Asking him to carry a big load at the NFL level is foolish, but using him correctly could pay big rewards.

As small, fast, and quick as he is it might be hard for any body to make contact with him.

Half time report:

TCU 16 NIU 0 - Garrett Wolfe has 10 yds on 8 carries, TCU is swarming and showing 6 man front on running downs. GW can't take 3 steps w/o a Horned Frog in his face.

Doug Free has looked great in his run blocking and pitiful with his pass blocking. Run=A Pass=F. DF actually got his QB killed when he let Blake DE go inside straight to the QB. Run blocking he is moving his man 5-10yds down field.

Herbert Taylor has not shown much. He doesn't move the pile, looks lost in space and is slow in his pass blocking.

TCU defense is the star of this game.

TCU sent a corner blitz tonight....the corner all 188 pounds him lit the puppy up. Know what I mean by lit him up. Put a lesh on the puppy and made him his...well you know the rest YTF. Now if a little college corner is going to do that to him, what do you think an NFL tallent like , Mathis, Merriman, ect, ect. is going to do to him ? Look you're talking about taking the guy late day two and making him a change of pace guy...I'm on board. You're talking about spending a day one on him....I think you're reaching. TBS. NIU was handicapped by the loss of the SR. QB. Which ment that the 4th rated college run D could pretty much tee off on him. But I think TCU pretty much exposed him tonight. I also think Doug Free was pretty much exposed also. Blake is danged good. But he's not that good. TCU has nine of those guys coming back next year off that D.
