No Brainer move on DL

This ought to be a no-brainer move on our end to bring in a DT who can make an impact.

Lional Dalton DT Chiefs

He was just released and should be able to create competition on the DL, which Kubiak loves and be able to contribute in the short term as a run stopper. Having a more solid run stopper might allow our DE to showcase some of the alleged speed they possess.

I am in favor of benching TJ and brining in a vet right away.

I hear this a lot about a lot of players, all these players who have been released when we are 5 weeks in are just that for a reason. These players get picked up to fill roster spots for teams who contend eg. Ahmad Carrol with the Jags, or Jabar Gaffney with the Patriots. Dalton is\was a decent d-lineman with versatility, but he is not going to outproduce TJ this year because he lost a step---thus why he was released. I mean they cut him to bring in Michael Bragg and now he can be our saviour? Just calling him a two-gapper pretty much proves that he gets no penetration bka Ted Washington or Warren Sapp these days.

I always believed you needed a guy on your line that is in the 330lbs and this guy is a vetran and HECK.......He used to play for Kubiak and the Broncos.

Like Kubiak said they will take a look at anyone who is released and will determend wether that person can make our team better.

Alfred Malone getting placed on the IR has probably got to help the cause, with us losing another DT.

The Texans aren't interested in a run stopper. They want someone who can penetrate. They have plenty of lineman who can fill a hole, and not many who can actually break through. That was a big part of the reason they released Robaire.

Well, they should be interested in a run stopper. Qb sack are a small % and if the just hand off to a back that busts past our line or a pass that we can't stop, well you get the picture....

That's obvious... we haven't stopped the run all year. God forbid we do something to stop the run. Obviously we don't have the right pieces entirely in place or we might be ablt to prevent running 30 yard draw plays up the middle when most people know it was coming.

Maddox is a practice squad guy, not sure he is a contributor. Bring in Dalton and find out what he has left.

To be fair, we've not exactly been stellar at stopping the pass either. It's one thing to let Clinton Portis break a couple TDs - it's quite another to let Mark Brunell - that's right - Mark-freakin-Brunell, set an NFL passing record.
