Go Texans!
Mine was Mario's first sack.

I thought I was at Reliant when the crowd went nuts. And I "almost" cried because of the weight he has been under. What a relief for the fella.

Now he and we have broken the ice. Life is good. I guess wearing my."I'm a Texan" shirt was a good thing. I just watched the Raiders give away the game to Cleveland.:yahoo:

mario. i'll forever be kicking myself for deciding at the last minute not to go to the game ... i wish i would've been there when reliant erupted.

Mario for sure - The stadium rocked! Although my second favorite was the pass to AJ with a Dolphin all over Carr and AJ's jump to catch the pass. Good times!
I wore a different hat and it will be the hat of choice from now on.

If you read the gameday thread, you can tell I was...gone...after the sack. It was so freakin cool. If we make the playoffs, that's the play I'm going to remember as the turning point.

The place went bananas. It was an honest welcome from the Houston fans and a kind of 'pat on the back' for Mario in the face of all the pressure/critics on him. By Mario's body language, I think the spontaneous ovation really made him feel really good and more accepted by the fans. I really do. Total Kumbaya (sic) On Steroids moment

doug ftw

Why, why, why. I'll help you regret the decision. It was awesome I mean deafining. Usually I'm one of the only one in my section yelling so not being able to hear myself after that sack was off the chain. Then he got back there again right after wards and man it was awesome. Are you regreting it yet, does your reason for missing the game sound hollow yet. Everyone was on their feet, it was simply awesome. Man, shamesticks on you for not being there.

i've never been so excited, and sad, at the same time before lol. i even told my brother last night that this was mario's game. i think i'll have to postpone jumping off an overpass though, there's no way i'll miss the next game!

yeah that's probably why you shouldn't expect playoffs.

He is high. We all are. It was awesome, admit it.

I have to say that although I am not excited about a Bye week, I think this win makes us a bit more prepared for the Cowgirls. We have a good chance to do a lot of damage.

The funny thing was when Mario got a hand on Culpepper in the 1st quarter, you could tell the crowd wanted to go crazy. I told myself that if Mario gets his first sack today, this place would explode! It did.

boy it felt good for mario to get his first sack, havent felt that way since the horns won the national championship

I was at peace with myself not going to this game, knowing the result could be a good one. But your comment rings loudly with me.

I don't compare the two, seeing as how...well, you know. I actually missed it. I went to get a drink and I heard the stadium erupt and I knew what was up. I can't say I didn't feel it though.

I particularly liked the sack because there were some (insert choice profanity descriptives) that booed Mario when he was introduced. So it was nice hearing the cheers in the stadium when it happened. And I loved seeing his enthusiasm because it was just youthful and honest.

My favorite favorite moment was getting a W at 00:00 because this is the sort of game the Texans have loved to give away in the past. It is hard to learn to win, and gain confidence, and a tight win is something that helps.

I want a blowout Texans win soonishly because I am greedy that way. And it is easier on your heart.

Mario's sack was easily the best moment. I let my neighbor go to this game because it was his birthday. I think I should have gone.

i burst out laughing when he got the sack, he got that monkey off his back. it was out of pure excitement/happiness... it was just a great time watching that game. i really, really missed the feeling of being "IN" the game and winning... i really, really did. it made my day for sure.

I wish I could of been there in person. As it was I almost got picked up by the guys in the white coats when my neighbors reported a crazy guy running out in his driveway yelling "HE DID IT!!!!":yikes:

Mario's sack.

And I liked it when one of the post game people asked if Mario's 1.5 sacks means he was a better pick than RB's 0 TD's.

Mario was the inspiration for the Texans first win of the season, thats just cause to celebrate

:yahoo:

Inspiration? Hmmm. I might go one step further...

He may have been instrumental in that first win as he is the guy that tipped the two point conversion throw that would have tied the game.

Ultimately, this shouldn't be all about Mario. He doesn't want it to be that way. And neither do the coaches. I think going into the year, one of the things that is appealing about the Texans first pick is that with a rookie coach, he didn't want the distraction of the Vince Show or the Reggie Show. The coach wanted to create a team.

Whether that works out or not, is something to be seen, but you can tell that is what the coaches and players want based on what they say. It's not as fun for the media tho, because the only info they know about the team is who was picked first.

I vote the second Carr TD since it's the closest to the moment I knew we were going to win.

Seeing that W after three emberassing games was far better than any individual players accomplishments.

When Mario got his first sack I flew out of my chair and almost hit my head on the ceiling. Wasn't the most impressive sack ever, but I was very excited for him. :mario:

The touchdowns were great, but I went CRAZY when :mario: got his first sack only to follow it up w/ the ½ sack. :yahoo:

Oh yeah, the Saints lost today too.YEEEEAAHHH!!!!

When I saw Mario get that sack, I yelled out "MARIO" about 4 times straight.
I was so thrilled for the kid!

Yhe 1 1/2 sacks and response from the crowd were awesome. Did ya'll notice also the way after that Mario was almost picking that poor boy off his feet and pushing his arse in the backfield at will. When he learns a good technique he is gonna be something to watch.Congrats Mario you deserve it!

I was at a sportsbar in Denver and I was basically the only Texans fan watching the game. When mario got the solo sack i started yelling and cheering that people came over to see what had happened. By the time people came over and found out what had happened, Mario recorded the .5. The people were thrileld for me that Mario got his sack and the monkey off his back. It was an incredible time.

Words cannot do the atmosphere at the game after Mario's first sack justice. That was the game changer.

I will try. It was loud, extremely loud after his "1st" sack. Everyone was on there feet screaming and high fiving. It was so loud at that point, my ears hurt. Louder than a jet airplane for sure. The only time I remember it louder was when Billy Miller caught the "1st" Houston Texans touchdown pass. Now that was loud...

Now if we can only find a running game...

Definitely Mario's first sack. Now we don't have to hear that the #1 pick doesn't even have one sack. Now that he has 1-1/2 sacks, maybe he'll get on a roll and they'll start happening on a regular basis.:lightbulb:

I really think the first one was the half sack, and the second was his sack..

I saw it the other way around myself........ well actually I saw two sacks, but they are saying Greenwood held Culpepper up for the first one.

My wife decided after the Astros game on Saturday night that she was going to stay home and watch baseball on sunday. She spent every waking moment between then and 9:00 a.m. Sunday trying to convince me to stay with her. I went to the game and I am so glad I did! When Mario got that sack I almost forgot just how bad it has been around here these last few years. My seats are up high, but I squeezed in down low in the northwest corner with my brother and sister-in-law. When David ran that naked bootleg TD he threw the ball at the suite that his family and friends sit in. They were super pumped. After that TD, the ***** blonde wearing a pink Texans tshirt quit holding up her "Spice it up with Sage" sign. Cool game.

I jumped off the sofa and yelled MARIO at the top of my lungs... Then when he followed it up with the .5, i laughed like a maniac. on 3rd down, i prayed for him to get one more.

Did they mention it on sportscenter?
