We should expect a big sack day.

Working?
Key word is EXPECT. I'm not saying it will happen, but based on trends of Miami's OL and Culpepper's "elusiveness" we should expect at least 3-5 sacks out of our defense.

In the past 2 games, Miami has given up 13 sacks. 7 to Buffalo and 6 to Tennesse.

Outside of those games, Buffalo has sacked the QB a total of 4 times over 2 games. Tennessee has only managed 2 sacks in 2 games.

Each of those teams upped their sack total from 2 and 1 per game tremendously. If our DL doesn't manage a pass rush this week, I have a feeling we are even worse than we think

Hopefully the sack virus follows DC and infects that team. I don't mean David Carr.

Do you mean their Defensive Coordinator? Dom Capers?

(sorry I know that was obvious, but thought it was cool that defensive coordinator also starts with DC!

I'm not going to expect that. I foolishly expected Brunell to continue looking like beat up garbage last week, but the Texans D made him look good (well, they made his stats look good - dinking and dunking his way down the field wasn't that impressive).

yep. We seem to have this uncanny ability to make mediocre QBs look like the 2nd coming of Joe Montana. Of course, these same QBs are usually benched within a couple of weeks and aren't playing football the next season [/sarcasm].

I expect nothing, so I won't be let down. Of course, I hope for good things, but expecting them is an altogether different matter.

So far Mario has done squat that would lead me to "expect" much of anything, but I think he will be a bit more fired up for this game due to the heat he has been getting and that could bode well. I reamin hopefull about both he and the defense.

This game is going to be very telling. Yes, we don't have a great (or even good) defense but is it as bad as the statistics show? We will see after this game.

The Texans have a great opportunity to put some serious pressure on Culpepper and disrupt their offense. The line is below average and their QB is slow and playing like crap. The Texans have a great opportunity to show on Sunday that even if the team has a way to go, they are moving in the right direction.

I have defended Mario a lot, but I think it is fair that the Texans expect Mario to show why he deserved to be the number one pick in this game. One sack and a couple of key pressures and I think even the biggest doubters will be quieted for a while.
