Way, way too early to be looking at a draft board. At this time last year, Matt Leinart was still the consensus #1 pick, and it was hard to say who would even have that pick.

I think Oakland will have a worse record than us, for the record.

whoa, when did that happen? Also, in trades like this, what happens if they end up getting a worse record than us? Is there some sort of protection clause or could we end up trading up to get a better pick plus an additional 1st rounder? That would be nuts.

It's a projected trade. Had me fooled too.

a 1st rd to move up two spots, id do that in a second. i dont think were gunna be picking 1st though, were probly going to be around 9-13 range

the list is pure fabrication as is the trade but it shows other folks around the country are thinking the same thing, "the Texans need to address multiple needs".

I doubt anyone at this point knows exactly what the Texans are going to do. I can't beleive how they have underperformed so far, I'm not sure what to do, its possible the Texans are just a young inexperienced team & its going to take time to develop. While three first round picks in the next two years would certainly add to that the upgrade in overall talent and the team chemistry growing/learning together at some point will make the Texans a dangerous team, at least one can hope :poker:

We look like a top 5 drafting team ATM, but a lot can change. Oakland, Detroit, Green Bay, Cleveland, Tampa Bay and San Francisco look like they might give us a run for our money.

If we have the number one pick and don't get Calvin Johnson I'll be sick...

I see us grabbing a CB or FS with the first pick or a linebacker, but definately a defense pick, and then grabbing best available RB in the 2nd round.

you can't project the Texans pick until you take pictures of the prospects in shorts....gotta see who looks good. Then walk them to the bench press and stand in awe. After that go to the vertical jump. If he blows you away, forget grading film. Hand him a check.

still dont believe kubes would take a RB in the first.

Why not? I read this take all the time in here and I will never in a million years understand it. He tried to take one in the first this year but wasn't able to swing the trade.

If he had we would have DeAngelo Williams in our backfield right now (and we would be without DeMeco Ryans so I'm kind of happy it didn't work out).

I don't think he would hesitate to take Adrian Peterson if he thought we needed him. I think he'll probably want to trade down but a lot of that depends on how much we accomplish over the next 13 games and in free agency prior to next years draft.

Vinny, Vinny, Vinny.....what are you thinking?

You left out the background check. Can't be drafting guys with blemishes on their records.

Wouldn't it be funny if the Titans got AP before we did? Ah, well, there's always Michael McGahee ... I mean Michael Bush.

Nice post beerlover. Yeah me too. I'll believe a first round rb for the Texans when Kubes walks out the door. All you guys pretty certain Charles Spencer's going to be back in '07 ? I mean Salaam is looking pretty good. But the guy is 36 isn't he ? Keep marking me down for left tackles untill we get one. :brickwall
