DW4 Traded to Cleveland

If he goes to Atlanta he is going to a team that isn’t ready to win now and is rebuilding. Sounds familiar. I know a team like that.

Carolina is closer to winning now than Atlanta.

But still not as close as New Orleans or Cleveland.

Draft picks from Atlanta will be better than Carolina, New Orleans, or Cleveland.

So pick Atlanta, Watson. I just don’t like the idea of Ryan going to the Colts. Don’t want to help them any. But we 2-4 years from realistically competing so what’s it matter? Ryan will be retiring at that time.

Atlanta seems to be the right pick for us.

Am I wrong?

When looking at the future value of potential 1st and 2nd rd picks- Atlanta has the most value, IMO. Deshaun makes them mediocre at best, certainly not super bowl contenders. Carolina is a close second but I think it’s become clear that it’s likely New Orleans or Atlanta that Deshaun will choose. New Orleans becomes contenders in the NFC with Deshaun. I’m hoping it’s Atlanta at this point.

Atlanta, as their WR group stands, if they take Watson will have him practicing this.

Atlanta works out best if we want picks.

If that's where he goes, the decision won't be announced tonight. They have to move Ryan before they can do anything.

Anybody but New Orleans. They've got 18 this year and futures will likely be in the 20's. I don't like it. Almost the same for Cleveland as well. 13th this year, and the addition of Watson probably gets them into the playoffs, meaning future 1sts in the 20's.

I'm rooting for Falcons and Panthers, or the Giants to have a change of heart.

I always thought it would be the Panthers
It would be if the Texans were in the driver’s seat. Unfortunately Watson is looking to F over the Texans. It doesn’t matter to him that they paid him 10 million last season and didn’t hit his punk ash with fines. What I heard today was Atlanta is the team he wants to play for. They came into the running because him and his team reached out to them.

As I've stated before it's not just about the draft picks if Caserio is receiving Young players on rookie contracts as he allegedly stated and others have hinted at. Those have to be figured in and at this point we don't know who or even if. For example Carolina's Chinn and Brian Burns trump's Atlanta's cornerback Terrell.

Lol Watson cornered himself as him leaving was never about the team.
This sounds about right for Caserio. Watson gets to pick where he wants to go even if the other team offers more.

There shouldn’t be no “holding pattern” because Watson has a big decision to make.

I know this is Glazer reporting & we have no idea how it’s really being handled.

But Watson should give Nick three teams he will play for & Nick negotiate the best trade.

Absolutely agree 100%.
Going forward, these NTCs should be worded as: The player has 24 hours to choose 12 teams he does NOT want to go to, and the trading team then gets to negotiate the best deal with one of the remaining 20 teams and thats where he goes.
This should be an accross the board rule. No deviation whatsoever. The Texas Rule!

Who would be up for grabs on ATL?
CB Terell, S Grant and G Lindstrom?

3. OT Ikem Ekwonu
8 CB Sauce Gardner
37 WR George Pickens
43 DE Drake Jackson
58 TE Trey McBride
68 RB Kenneth Walker III
74 G Jamaree Salyer
80 ILB Brandon Smith

Good Lord. I just rebuilt the team.

Most detailed info on Matt Ryan's contract.

Like I said, March 18 is a crucial deadline for the Falcons to make some move on Ryan.

But when I first looked at Spotrac this morning, the dead money really struck me.

Yeah I can see Indy Trading their 42nd and 58 for Matt Ryan as his base for this season is only 8.7 5 million and a reasonable 20 the following year.

If this happens we could get a very good haul for d w.

Initially, I thought Panthers too. However, does anyone have faith in Matt Ruhle? He might be the worst HC of all the teams trying to trade for Watson. Also, Watson and Cam Newton are close. Did Cam provide some insight into the Panthers' offense and Ruhle?
If the Tweet about mr. Tepper allowing Watson to choose next head coach then Rhule would not be an issue.

I just have to think that Watson will say anything he thinks someone wants to hear. Hard to take him by his word............

Lovie said he’s got to go. Nick is only doing what he’s told. There’s a video where Lovie seemed very confident it will be resolved soon.

1 & 1 = 2
I'm sorry, but Lovie doesn't need to tell Caserio that Watson needs to go. Caserio already knows that Watson needs to go, the sooner the better..........but only if and when it maxes out the return.

You aren't wrong

But I like both Chinn and Burns alot and #6 this yr will be worth alot. I think Carolina wont be good for a long time. So the future picks should be very good too.

I don’t think he wants any part of the AFC with all the good QBs plus Browns are not glamorous or near his stomping grounds. Browns are out. The other 3 are in it in my estimation but he will likely go to the Saints because they have the worst first round pick to give us because #Texans
If he wasnt intrested, why would he take a meeting? Being in the afc isnt a deterrant. I mean hell, he he BOB as a coach and Tim Kelley as oc, so I doubt he's scared of the afc. The Browns are his best option to win with those 2 backs and that playcalling. Even with Baker Mayfield they won 11 games.

Because he's a very dumb guy, who craves attention. You're acting like he's a normal rationale human being.

They haven't been good because there qbs have been bad including Darnold. They're probably not going to give up both, that defeats the purpose right? That oline has been a problem for years and they just lost Reddick as a free agent.

Like I said before I would take Horn in place of Burns. I bet if push comes to shove Tepper will give up Burns. A bad OL would be another reason I would want Derrick to go to Carolina. After all he's already had 2 ACL surgeries.

It makes no sense going down this road with you. Yet Seahawks, Philly, and Washignton were declined off the rip, correct? Why does someone you don't even know make you so miserable? Those athletes have zero bearing on me,my family, or my business. They're entertainers just like Jack ,DeNeiro, Denzel, etc. They can never disappoint me because humans in general do that anyway, family included.

So you're wishing ill will? LMAO. Considering he played behind a a ol that never finished higher than 25th, and stayed healthy, I don't even think thats a problem.

No I'm not wishing ill will.

I'm just thinking trading Derrick to Carolina increases the chances of the future picks being more valuable given Derrick's injury history and the current state of their OL.

There's no Jake Matthews on Carolina's OL as an example. But Carolina does have better weapons to throw to so that's Derrick's trade off.

Ouch if you are in the Browns FO

And THIS makes it sound worse

I'm quite happy and very blessed. These entertainers have no effect on my life. Other than the enjoyment of seeing them progress through high school/college/pro's. Heck I dont like pro football near as much as I do college ball. It's why I enjoy the draft.

But nice try at deflection. Agreed with the last sentence of your post. But we must treat them with love anyways. However this doesn't mean we cant think Derrick's a horrible human being and pray that one day he will see the light and become a selfless human being. I wouldn't bet on this ever happening. Nor would I ever want my family ever around him.
