Day two picks.

Texansphan

Football connoisseur
Man, what a roller coaster ride that first round was!
Texans took a Tackle in the first - a step in the right direction.
Tytus Howard is a fast study and has a high ceiling.
Now Texans have an opportunity to boost their secondary and with a rollover of CBs from the first round into the second, the chances are high they will acquire some quality guys.
I see Julian Love and Justin Layne around our pick at Corner and Juan Thornhill and Taylor Rapp at Safety.
Nassir Adderley S and Miles Sanders RB are a little higher with Dalton Risner OL, Zach Allen DL and Deebo Samuel WR lurking just above them. Some of these could slide to us so there is huge interest for us in Day 2.
I haven't explored R3. possibilites yet so suggestions are invited.

There's some serious talent that's fallen to the 2nd round. I want no trades up, there's enough talent left that we shouldn't have to, and I want a CB and OG/C. One of Julian Love, Amani Oruwariye, Trayvon Mullen, (assuming Greedy Williams and Byron Murphy are gone) and one of Elgton Jenkins, Cody Ford, Erik McCoy. There's also enough talent that good players should be had in the 3rd round as well, more O-line help would be nice but so would another CB or Safety.

My thoughts exactly

If I'm Brian Gaine, I am looking to move back up into the 2nd round for a 3rd pick in there.
If we can get 3 more quality guys to add to Howard, this will be a good draft.
Adding our 5th to our 3rd only nets us about 5 spots so he is going to have to look at adding next years 3rd as well.
I am taking best suitable CB and Safety and the 3rd one can be BPA pass rusher, running back or WR.
That would be exciting and add some quality guys to our depleted team.

My top 15 choices for Rd 2 are the following:

Ford OT/G
Risner OT/G
McCoy G/C
Williams CB
Murphy CB
Love CB
Mullen CB
Adderley CB/S
Winovich Edge
Rapp S
Thornhill S
Jenkins G/C
Bunting CB
Sanders RB
Layne CB

Ideal scenario would be I’d trade up with one of the picks and back with the other, but I think that would be wishful thinking.

Important to remember that the favorites for pick 23 after Dillard went off the board are all still available in Taylor, Ford and Greedy.

Washington CB Byron Murphy is the heavy favorite to go at the opening pick of the second round if Arizona holds on to the pick tonight. https://t.co/jCKROfW3Sf

Worth noting heading into tonight’s rounds 2-3: Rams OC Shane Waldron flew to Oklahoma this week to workout Oklahoma St. RB Justice Hill. Rams scheduled to have 4 picks tonight. Rams, Browns, Texans, Titans, Broncos, Eagles, Cowboys amongst others attended Hill’s personal pro day

I'm intrigued by our 2nd Round 2 pick. That could be a prime trade down spot for a team looking to jump in front of New England for a QB or maybe a TE.

I'd be good with those two as well. Adding Risner (or another olineman) to the mix is ideal to me. And a CB is nearly a must for one of the 2 - 2nd rounders.

If Gaine is smart, he'll exchange his last 2nd rd pick for a 4th so we have a pick in every round.

Um.... We get more then just a 4th right?! Hopefully a 3rd too.:gamer:

I like virtually all the guys mentioned in this thread for the 2nd round. If they decide to "go rogue" with one of the picks - meaning no oline, secondary, I'd add these guys if they haven't been mentioned -

Chase Winovich - Edge
Jaylon Ferguson - Edge
David Montgomery - RB
Irv Smith - TE
Dre'Mont Jones - DT
A.J Brown - WR

Those are a few guys that I like a lot that are outside of the core needs. I'm sure the Texans care what I think lol.

I'd be shocked if the Texans picked a TE at all this draft. Really like Chase Winovich and A.J Brown

I like the way this draft has broke in our favor. Look at the OL'man still on the board: Cody Ford (I'm leaving Taylor off because of medical history), Dalton Risner, Greg Little, Erik McCoy, Connor McGovern, Elgton Jenkins.

Yes, I'd like Risner to be there, but I'm thinking not. I'm wanting to upgrade our pivot position and the two names on my short list are McGovern and Jenkins. One or both might be there at 54.

Denver did receive enough interest to deal Harris. Sounds like a trade would likely come with a new deal. A solid commodity for the Broncos https://t.co/DxHDF6ocAI

— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) April 26, 2019

Multiple sources say the Dolphins are close to a deal for QB Josh Rosen, and that a deal may actually be tentatively done. Arizona would get pick No. 48 from Miami.

Wish list for the rest of the picks:

OL
CB
Sanders
Isabella

all 4 please. :)

Several teams have flagged #Washington SS Taylor Rapp w/ a hip flexor issue, which is good/bad news for him.

Good news: Teams believe that injury likely contributed to his 4.78 40

Bad news: Some teams are worried about the injury, which could affect where he is drafted tonight

— Dane Brugler (@dpbrugler) April 26, 2019

I certainly hope Brugler is more correct

Sweet maybe he will be there in the 5th

Oops. I didn't see the day two picks thread. If the mods can merge please, thanks.

or delete this one, I don't care. LOL

Not unless he get a lot of picks. No way I want to give a second for a 4th and similar picks. Hopefully Porkster you mean trade down from second get two thirds and a 4th or something?

So JAGs get their guy in round two..I'm still concerned with his injuries & glad he goes ahead of us as I can see another LT that can play right side being drafted by Gaines.

If Taylor's knee is OK the Jags look like they got best value in both 1st and 2nd rounds. Josh Allen giftwrapped to them and now Taylor?! AFC South is gonna be really fun to watch this season!
