Hall Of Fame Texans Fan!
On Sunday, December 23rd at 12 noon, the Texans will travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. The game will be aired on TV on CBS 11 and on radio on AM SportsRadio 610.
So far, the Texans are 2-1 against the NFC East in wins against the Cowboys and Redskins and a loss to the Giants. This is the final game against the NFC East. Watson and the offense need to be better at running the ball and protecting Watson and the defense needs to really tighten down the loose defensive backfield to go into Philadelphia and get a win.
Here are the 2 teams.

If there's one thing going in the Texans direction, it's that Nick Foles will be starting since Wentz is out with a fractured vertebra in his back. Even still, Foles will have Alshon Jeffery and Zach Ertz to throw the ball to and Golden Tate and Josh Adams to run the rock. This will be hard to stop. The Texans defense will have to stop the Eagles run on the way to the quarterback on every single play in this one. Watt, Clowney, Mercilus and the rest of the Texans front 7 will have to get after Foles and the running game with urgency every single snap. If the Texans defensive line starts getting to Foles regularly, he becomes subject to reverting to his old self and throwing picks and giving up fumbles. The back end has to keep tight coverage just long enough to allow the front 7 to disrupt Foles. This will be critical in getting off the field and getting the ball into Watson's hands.
On offense, the Texans will need to run much better then they have the last 2 weeks. This might be a good game to get D'Onta Foreman in and get him some reps to get ready for the post season. Especially since Miller was hobbled against the Jets. If Coutee is still unavailable (as he probably should be to allow more time to heal up and get ready for the post season), then DeAndre Carter really needs to step up and make himself more available to Watson in the passing game. The tight-ends will also need to get more heavily involved in the passing game and take advantage of the middle of the field. Especially in 3rd down situations. The backs will also need to be ready to catch quick passes as an outlet out of the backfield. Watson will need those outlets against the Eagles defense with Bennett and Cox gunning for him every play. Watson needs to learn to get rid of the ball quickly and O'Brien needs to learn to call quick pass routes to get the ball underneath and keep the chains moving. Hopkins and D Thomas will get things done. Everyone else needs to step up.
This is the time to play with urgency and keep things rolling into the playoffs to earn the Division crown and a possible 2nd seed.
This will be a very tight game.
