Really, all the Texans have to do is shut down LeSean McCoy and that's the whole of the Bills offense. No real receiving threat, no real tight end threat and Josh Allen as their quarterback.
There isn't much to worry about with the Bills offense.
They are 32nd in the league in points scored at 12.6 and 31st in the league with a paltry 221.2 yards of total offense per game. Going against an improving Texans defense that only gave up 292 yards of total offense against the Cowboys last week is going to be too much of a challenge for the Bills offense to over come.
Now turn to the Texans offense. So far this year, the Texans offense has generated 423.4 yards of total offense per game. They can move the ball. The problem is, they've only been able to get 23 points per game. The Red Zone is the issue. The Texans can move the ball up and down the field, they just haven't been able to get the ball in the end zone.
This week, that will change. So far we have been seeing improvement week to week in the Texans offense culminating in the past 2 weeks over time victories. We will see Watson, Hopkins, Fuller and Coutee come together this week and change everything. Miller will be back as well to help out.
This will be a break out game for Watson and the boys.

Texans 34
Bills 10

You are really optimistic about the Texans offense going against the 10th ranked defense when there is a solid chance Deshuan doesn't play this week

We should all just get used to Watson being on the injured list a lot. Between him having a crappy line and insisting on taking on heavy LBs for that extra yard, he's not gonna be the healthiest of QBs this season.

Yea he needs to get passed the hero ball, it might help us win a game here and there, but it will hurt us in more games if it cost him being on the field. PatdStat did a good job showing on 2 of his runs for the pylon he actually had 1 of our rookie TEs out there as a lead blocker(Thomas when he went right, Akins when he went left) he pointed out to get them to turn and block, they both looked like they hesitated a step or two not knowing if they were suppose to block, or find open space. Both instances if they got their blocks could have lead to a touchdown(the one to the right I am almost certain would've been a TD, the one to the left I think he still gets a lick but wouldn't have been as bad as what he ended up taking) However you have to give a world of credit to Jaylon Smith, that kid was flying everywhere like he did for ND before he took the cheap shot from OSU that almost costed him a career. There are not many backers in the league that have that kind of athleticism, and hopefully it showed Watson he isn't always going to get the corner.

It's more being optimistic about the worst offense in the league of the Bills going against the 12 ranked defense of the Texans. That won't play out well for the Bills. As far as Watson not playing? Haven't heard that. He has a bruised lung. That's a painful injury, but there is no one saying that Watson is out or not playing. They'll limit his practice a few days and he'll be fine. So, we'll have to take that at face value and say he is playing.
With that said, here at home, just watch Watson and the boys finally open it up.
It's coming. Just get ready.

Well Texans have officially said he is day to day with a chest injury, We know he was being check on the sidelines with a stethoscope to his lower side/back area which tells us they are worried about a punctured lung, or serious lung contusion which would force him out this game. Probably the most damning evidence of all though is what Vegas odds makers have done, we have gone from being 8 pt favorites to 1 pt favorites on a few books, the other books pulled it completely. Vegas has insiders in every organization, if they think something is up, something is up

Time to bust out the weed man. Play that buffalo D if the weed man is playing.

Didn't this buffalo team ***** slap the Vikings in Minnesota

Swear they just clowned those mighty titans.

This has Eli and the giants written all over it. Who's that rookie QB they got? Might have to play him if Watson sits

Buffalo out physicaled the Titans. Dont think this will be a cake walk. If we aint ready to fight they will mash us. I think we can shut down a run if committed and their QB aint ready for NFL defenses, but dont sleep on this team. They play hard

We are gonna have to mash and bang with all teams for some time; positive thing maybe is this team has played with injured players. I wish our medical teams were an advantage versus other medical teams. We are not very good right now but neither is Buffalo. I wish our by week was after Bills game. Hope Cowboys are more into bounce back than Jags. If hopes and wishes were fishes I could feed 5,000

Texans win this one assuming Watson is ready to play, but it won't be a pushover. Mind you I said is ready to play, not plays.

Jesus Christ if they actually do that everyone's gonna have a heart attack! Some things are just not meant to be relived.
I thought we were over it already?
Frank Reich paid us back the previous week.
By gifting us that win and not playing for a tie. LOL
And that has sparked our current winning streak.

I have the Texans beating the Bills, 30-12.
We'll win three games in a row. Back to .500 at 3-3

That will make the game at Jacksonville very interesting!
We may be playing for first place in the AFC South soon.

And oh yeah, I was told Deshaun Watson "will play" on Sunday.
He's just going to take it easy this week in practice. Don't worry.

Deshaun is all smiles and bowling right now. Doesn't look hurt at all.

who were you told this by?

Texans should easily win this game. Of course, I said the same exact thing for the first three games of this season.

I'm not going to get to high and say this should be a win for us. So I will go with, I hope we keep the winning streak going. The Bill's are not a good ball club but they have wins against the Titans and a underachieving Vikings team.

#Texans O’Brien said "Oh yeah" when asked if Deshaun Watson could play Sunday vs Bills.

"The only thing I talk to him about is taking care of the ball." Bill O’Brien on DeAndre Hopkins. Also mentions his yards after the catch ability has improved. "https://twitter.com/hashtag/Texans?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc^tfw">#Texans

#Texans O’Brien on Watson’s health:"Everybody ‘s getting ready for the Bills, I’ll let the injury report speak for itself." @KPRC2

The Texans D may be ranked that high in yards allowed, which tells very little of the story, but they're about 24th in overall efficiency according to Aikman ratings. And the Texans 4th ranked offense, in yards only, is 23rd in efficiency. Their red zone issues are why that's so low.

And of course, the Bills 6th ranked D is deceiving as well. They're about 22 in efficiency.

All of this doesn't change the fact I think the Texans take care of business fairly easily, this is more about people using yardage rankings to define a defense or offense.

They should beat the Bills , they just don't have much talent …. and keep OB employed for a while longer.

The former is great , the latter not so much.
Here's the thing though: A win would give us a 3-3 record. At the very least it will give us a good "real test game" at Jacksonville. Win that game to reach four wins in a row, and we'll be fighting for the AFC South this year with the Jaguars and Titans.

Lose that game and I'll be right there with you. All we did was keep Bill O'Brien employed longer. I know we can use better play calling, especially inside the red zone. I don't hate Bill O'Brien. Great man. If we just had an offensive coordinator we'd be fine.

Look at Mike Vrabel with the Titans. He has coordinators that do all the hard work for him, but yet he receives a lot of credit as the head coach for doing less. I'd like to see O'Brien do that here (do less) and give up the play calling.

Also all three losses were one-score games. It's not like we were blown out in any game this season. Even though the games against the Patriots and Giants felt like we were greatly out-played.

All I'm saying is despite all of our shortcomings...
We've been competing hard. In position to win every game.

Things could be a lot worse. Let's just enjoy our current winning streak. Something we haven't had in over two years. 2016 was the last time we had won two games in a row. So if we win three games in a row I'll be happy.

It's easy to focus on what could be better. Let's just enjoy what it is.

just because they went 0-16? I don't think ever game was a blow out cakewalk for their opponents
It's all about the wins and losses. Or ties these days!
I don't like those 10-minute overtimes!

Just reading the forums here when the team was 0-3. Everybody was acting like we were blown out in every game. They were all one-score losses.

But if there's such a thing as an easy win in the NFL.
Wouldn't it have been those teams? They didn't win!

Hyperbole much?

Doesn’t matter if lost by one point or 30 my eye test tells me we suck and especially bad with Botox needer being the head coach. They have give me nothing to be excited about. The very worst thing this team could do is make the playoffs. If I were optimistic that they could make some noise once they got there I’d feel different. But they can’t.

Garbage time touchdowns in 2 of the games.

BOB in his infinite wisdom punted down 14 with 4 mins to go against New England and we got lucky and the Pats fumbled the punt. We then proceeded to preform the worst clock management just like BOB teaches and take 2 plus mins to score from less than 40 yards and help the Pats who wanted us to burn time at that point.

Giants game we scored a garbage time TD with 1 second to go to make it a one score game.

I understand how you feel. Bill O'Brien has frustrated me his with play calling. Our red zone percentage is atrocious and he continues to call some of the worst red zone plays I've ever seen: Not just in the NFL but in college, high school and junior high football. I wish BOB would give up the play calling but he's too stubborn.

Its frustrating as hell from a fans perspective I used to think Kubiak was horrible at clock management and he was, but BOB is 10 times worse. The red zone possessions were just crazy from what were they trying to do you line up under center on one play and in shotgun from the half yard line the next. We have no clue what we want to do in the red zone.

Jerry Hughes is someone to be accounted for this Sunday.

Jerry Hughes was worried about roughing Marcus Mariota, so he let him go

Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota was able to avoid what looked like a sure sack in the second half of Sunday’s game when he was wrapped up by Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes.

Mariota didn’t wriggle free due to his own efforts, however. Hughes let him go and he confirmed after the game that he did so because he didn’t want to become the latest player flagged for roughing the passer while finishing a tackle.

“I made an inside move and I’m underneath the quarterback at that point in time. When I go to wrap you up I’m naturally low so I’m naturally underneath you,” Hughes said, via NewYorkUpstate.com. “If I pick him up and finish him, it’s a 15-yard penalty and they might score [a touchdown] on that drive. It’s a tough situation to be in, and I’m very thankful that our secondary played lights out all day and got us off the field.”

Mariota threw an incompletion on the play and the Titans had to settle for one of Ryan Succop‘s four field goals. Hughes said he spoke to referee Tony Corrente, who flagged Packers linebacker Clay Matthews for a much-discussed roughing penalty earlier this year, about what to do in the future.

“I spoke to the white hat and he just told me just to wrap up and drive him backwards and they’ll blow the whistle and mark his forward progress,” Hughes said. “Now I know for the future. I found myself in a very vulnerable position and what do you do? Do you finish the tackle or just hold onto him? Now I know.”

Hughes did come up with a sack later in the game that forced the Titans to kick another field goal on their way to a 13-12 loss.

man some players. you drive qb to ground but right before land yourself to ground not qb. JJ did it perfect during game once. it doesn't take much to get off qb right before hitting ground.

Texans 24-17

Looks like there won't be a prediction thread this week, so I'll use this one. This game is hard to call as long as we're unsure of Watson's status.
Houston Toros sans DW 17
Buffalo Williams 24
Watson 10
It all depends on whether DW can play. But since we get paid to stick our neck out a foot, here goes. My guess is he'll be thrown out there, perhaps wrongly. Texans 27, Bills 24

The NFL needs to make this issue easy on everyone. New NFL Mandate will require NFL QB's to wear "bright red" belts with (2) 7" L x 2" W ribbons Velcro'd to the belt. The ribbons must be positioned on the QB's hips or hip pads. When defensive player removes ribbon, the QB is deemed down by contact.

Now wouldn't that make it easier and eliminate the interpretation of the current rule?
