I actually think they'll win. It'll be just enough for OB to keep his job and still have a miserable season.

Holy hell with how bad they looked against the Cowgirls I want to think we could beat them, but I don't know anymore.

Texans! I know many don’t like watching the Cowboys, but with the Texans defense, I can’t see how the Giants will improve that much in a week. Heck, Eli was sacked by our up and coming defense six times.

J.J. Watt will sack Eli four or five times!
This is the game to pad the sack totals.

The Texans win their home opener, 34-13.

O’Brien is going to have to let Deshaun play like he did in 2017. That RPO using the TE, RB, WR formation worked almost perfectly every time. He can forget about doing his poor Belichick impersonation and go back to what worked. Do that until we can find a REAL coach. Preferably one who runs a West Coast-ish offense and can actually scheme receivers and TE’s open.

I voted I don't give a sh!t.

But for what its worth …. OB will find another way to lose.

I'm sick of OB , His offense is terrible and his game management worse.

Its time to break out the pink soap avatars and send a lot of nasty letters to McNair.

hmmmm …????? its eli manning right ….???? well if clown is playing and our def ya know plays elite ..I think we can keep the score low enough for us to kick a few Fgs to win … yeah

Can we actually do that? I’m down, and have a group of about 80 angry old guys who are just dying to give McNair a piece of their mind.

This thread makes me wonder what it would have looked like had we possessed internet forums for the 1993 Oilers' season.

I'm thinking the Texans win against the Giants.

Haha, that would have been great, all that drama, babygate, the Alm suicide, Buddy punching Gilbride, my god a forum like this would have been a mad house. I remember reading the newspapers every weekend that season and Mcclain trashed them so hard when they were 1-4, I mean just completely ripped Moon to shreds then after the second win over Pit he was crowning them Super Bowl Champs already. I never stopped believing in them that year, I remember me and my brother begging my mom to get us the Warren Moon helmet/jersey/uniform deals they were selling at Academy. Good times. The loss to the Chiefs in the playoffs still the only football game that ever made me cry.

You knew the year was gonna be a bad one... starting off with 'The Comeback' (only game that made me ) (although Montana beating the Cougars hurt almost as bad)

I watched them closely this year; my wife is a Giants fan. They really don't have much. This is the season; we are more talented. This is one we will get I feel. Either that, or we're a top-5 pick team. The Giants are a bad squad. That said, we'll get their best effort after they were flat against Dallas.

The funny thing is, those who clicked the "I don't give a sh!t" radio button, actually give a sh!t, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered.
What's so funny?

I never gave a chit what Tillman had to say during the PS games, but I didn't mind leaving the sound on.
I find him comical.

Same with O'Brien.

Dgaf.

The absolute best this team can hope for is a wildcard.

Too bad the division is no longer historically shitty so OB can get another fake division win and playoff berth.

Those fake division wins and playoff berths just go to get idiots like OB extensions ….. I'm glad the division doesn't suck , we might get lucky and OB find himself unemployed.

As for a wildcard …. they'd have to go 10-4 the rest of the way. I don't see it. The absolute best they could do is fire OB and pick in the top 5 of next years draft.

This game is going to come down to defense and right now, the Gmen have a better one. Maybe it being the home opener for the Texans will give them an edge.

Keep telling yourself that... maybe it'll come true

I voted lose because I think there's something toxic with this team . To many silly less than inspired plays both on the field and on the sidelines . Besides the Texans have always been medicine for ailing teams .

I think, because this is the Texans home opener they’ll finally show up with energy, actually start the game with passion. They’ll drive the ball on their opening possession only to make a mistake which will take all the air out of the stadium. They’ll revert back to their timid ways, get totally outcoached and be buried under an avalanche of their own stupidity. I’ve seen this game before.

I said this team could beat a depleted Patriots team. (Insert Trump WRONG gif here)
I said this team could beat a Blaine Gabberted team. (Insert Trump WRONG gif here)

This team will lose to a team with a lousy QB but with a really good WR and RB.

0-3 is the early return on a contract extension given to fat Travolta.

We go 0 and 3 to start the season you might as well stick a fork in us because we are done as far as any playoffs go. Might as well play for a top five pick and make our first and second round picks really count.

This o-line cant pick a simple blitz where the LB runs to the line, yells out "I am gonna blitz mudda fuckka!!!!"

Fulton or Kelemete still wont even look at the guy.

True story.................. were doomed, there is no HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Geeze I hope we show up for the home crowd.

I hope there is a home crowd cause.............. 1 in 11 in last 12 contest.

Its been 3 years since I can justify buying any Texans merch. I aint buying nothing until a little fight is displayed by our players and coaches.

Voted "Lose" simply because I'm starting to think OB lost the locker room and the coach up in NYG is brand new. They'll probably come out more "desperate to win" than the Texans. Plus, the Texans almost ALWAYS lose "Must Win" games and this is pretty much a "must win".

Seriously!! It used to be that every time I would come home to Houston from Austin I would hit an Academy and load up on Texans gear. Now I mainly load up on Astros, Rockets and Dynamo. Haven't bought anything Texans related in quite some time now.

after rewatching both games (dal/ny - hou/tenn) there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY we lose to the Giants. Honestly if we lose to the Giants on the home opener after how horribly bad they have looked HOLY CRAP.

I expect a blowout and anything less will be a disappointment.

O’Brien on Watson: "Based on his experience, he’s a rookie." Said Watson improved from Week 1 to 2 and passing game was improved in second half vs. Titans. #Texans

"I think we have to think about that every week." Bill O’Brien on Kareem Jackson on if he is playing CB or S. Says it is a week to week decision. #Texans

"They have really taken to the offense." Senio Kelemte and Zach Fulton and their work through their first two weeks. #Texans

Bill O’Brien says there’s "no concern at all" about Whitney Mercilus’ slow start (5 total tackles, none for a loss). Mercilus didn’t play during the preseason, and O’Brien expects improvement from him each week. #Texans

“You look at every game that way.” #Texans HC O’Brien on the idea of “must-win” game. @KPRC2

If BOB wasn't the coach I pick Texans. The little teapot is going to run out of water and overheat. If this happens before he has time to game plan and get in DW's head then we have a chance. Even though I think he has already ruined DW for this year. I think it will happen during the game like it has in previous games in which case we see BOB's offensive intellect on full display and we lose again.
Dale Robertson@sportywineguy

#Texans defense hasn't given up a second-half touchdown. @JJWatt credits coaches for adjustments and for the players "settling down."

BOB doesn't coach defense thank goodness even though it really doesn't matter since he does rule the offense.

Interesting game though. 0-3 reward. Season over.

Can the Texans GET IT UP!!!? Can they get it UP??????

I mean the hype............. emotion! Dirty minds think alike?

We will be omnipotent not impotent yesssss!

My feeling as of this moment is this:

The meltdown continues and gets even more provoked. The Giants beat the Texans 41-10. This will be THE game that causes major fighting in the locker room. The Texans will not be able to overcome the lows caused by this thumping. I predict Mathieu will have bad words with someone, could be a player, could be a coach, could be both. It will be this game that he realizes that he made a mistake coming to Houston. Watson will have a terrible game, and will be picked off multiple times. This game will widen his lack of enthusiasm for playing on this team. There will be fighting and finger pointing amongst players after this thumping. And this loss will lead to O'Brien either being fired or resigning later in the season.

The Texans will need to clean house after this season, completely. I wouldn't be surprised if O'Brien and Crennel both are gone after this season, and rightfully so.

This is the feeling that I have right now. I would love to be wrong on this, but I've seen something like this play out on this team far too many times in the past!
