The Official Half Assed Chiefs @ Texans Wildcard Playoffs Gameday Thread

Earlier in the season, someone on this forum was posting video with all of the Texans passing attempts in each game. Any chance that can be done for this game? Would be interesting to review just exactly how bad Hoyer really was today.
I hate you........I've already put myself on thorazine.........what do you want to do, make me totally untreatable?:mcnugget:

Hoyer need never to see another NFL game in a Texans uniform. If OB trots him out as our QB next year he needs to be fired immediately.

That was me, but I don't think I could stomach it, even if I was getting paid.
You would get paid. By our gratitude. Let's expose the ugliness for the world to see. It might get back to the front office.

O'Brien said Brandon Weeden getting basically no reps in practice this week was a factor in his wanting to stay with Brian Hoyer. #Texans

"The game just ended. ... I have no idea what 2016 will look like," O'Brien, asked if Hoyer is QB of the future. #Texans

O'Brien said they talked about Clowney's status toward the end of the week. He wasn't able to push off or run so they kept him out. #Texans

O'Brien didn't consider pulling Hoyer.

OB said it was a jumbo package with Watt and Wilfork at the goal line. Said it was on him for the poor call. #Texans

“The best thing to do was stick with him.” OB on Brian Hoyer.

OB say him and Rick Smith will sit down and start evaluating the team. Will get input from coaches and personnel. #Texans

“We had a plan for him. Sometime it worked. Sometimes it didn’t.” OB on defending Travis Kelce. #Texans

O'Brien: "A disappointing way to end the season. We are all in this together. We obviously have a long way to go here."

O'Brien: "It just wasn't good. Have to do a better job coaching, execution."

O'Brien: "It's not a good feeling to go out and lose a playoff game like this. We have to get better. It's obvious. It starts with me."

JJ Watt on groin injury - "It's extremely painful." @KPRC2
Sounds like the same old broken record

I'll join you on this. 10 years I paid for Sunday ticket on DTV. This year I saved some and went with streaming only option.

I definitely enjoy NFL football, but the Texans are my only team that I really root for. I'm afraid I am stuck with them for better or for worse.

well that was a ollll school Ass wippin Ughhhh There is always next season ...............

......i think Hoyer was still concussed.........he sure looked concussed....
Everyone in the cheap seats could see Hoyer didn't have it. There isn't a football person in the world who thought Hoyer should've stayed in the game.

Can you imagine BOB as a baseball manager? He'd keep a pitcher in the game know matter how bad he was, probably till his arm fell off.

I hated just hated the wildcat with jj watt by the goalline. I have no problem with jj in there but no mystery with that play

Well, just want to say thank you for your efforts earlier in the season. I definitely enjoyed the videos.

Thank you for appreciating it. Perhaps next season I will have a reason to do it again.

Hoyer need never to see another NFL game in a Texans uniform. If OB trots him out as our QB next year he needs to be fired immediately.

I don't see how he could justify keeping Hoyer around. But on the positive side, maybe Weeden gets a shot to compete in camp.

You would get paid. By our gratitude. Let's expose the ugliness for the world to see. It might get back to the front office.

I'll think about it, but it won't be any time soon. I just cannot process that right now and remain sane. Are you trying to give me PTS or what?

This has to be the dumbest move by a coaching staff in history. How do you not let your backup get ANY reps in practice leading up to any game? Don't they understand there is a reason to carry a backup at a position? What if Hoyer would have been injured in the 1st quarter? Might just as well have just an emergency QB and use the roster spot on someone to play special teams

What is this special teams you speak of?

Lol at some of the stupidist reasoning ever. So would it be better to get a rookie in here that will take two years to develop while the defense gets old? You can't be that stupid. We need a quality vet right now and a young qb to develop. Or we could just keep going down this road forever.

Brees isn't going anywhere and even if he was he's going into his 16th season next year. The defense is young. It's really young actually. You have a handful of old pieces like Joseph (Johnson is waiting to step in), Cushing (who many are ready to part with right now), and Wilfork (who was only going to be here a couple of years anyway and whose value is questionable).

Quality veteran or rookie QB it doesn't much matter. Those pieces are going to have to be replaced. Everyone else is pretty much a puppy or in the prime of their careers.

It would be better to identify the QB the Texans want and get started on him now. Not a doubt in my mind. "Stupid reasoning" is paying another old player too much money to come here and retire and doing it at the most important position on the field at the same time.

Rookie QB's and success aren't mutually exclusive. Teams have success with rookie signal callers. It's not unheard of.

It was a stupid gimmick play. O'Brien knows that the single most important player on this team is dealing with a groin issue and instead of running his offense he's got that player in on some bullshit crowd-pandering gadget play. That series just disgusted me to no end. It's pretty much where I drew the line with O'Brien.

I want him gone now. This is not a coach who is going to achieve any kind of lasting greatness or consistent success. That he would even allow that to be in the game plan tells me he's not the guy we need in charge.

I agree Herv. As much as it was cute. It was a disaster...it was high schoolish **** that might have worked if your team had the size advantage.

I think back to the Steelers when Big Ben was a rookie/young QB. They had a top notch defense, solid run game, and a good OL. All those pieces protected him. He didn't need to do much. Granted he was talented and still made plays but their blue print was run game and defense.

The most pathetic single game performance by a Texas quarterback in the history of the team. He should have been replaced at half time. Basically no adjustments made at halftime on offense and as a result. Zero points. Piss poor coaching decision! Im no fan of OB at this point. What a circle jerk quarterback cluster **** roller coaster mess this has been.

Look on the bright side the ending of the Steelers v Bengals game will make all the national media forget about how badly the Texans played today.

has it all sinks in after thinking about dis for a few hours its 210 am im thinking WTF Just happened ...???? what did we just witness ..????? is this possible ..????
