We'll probably get the #2 pick, trade our next 3 1st round picks to move to #1, and then take a DT.

I hear ya, but we got dominated by Matt Hasselbeck, Frank Gore and Andre Johnson. I mean, the remake of Cocoon was in full swing at NRG.

I've never thought that I could root for my team to lose, but a 1-15 record just might get everyone fired and maybe a new regime would make a decisions to draft a QB.

It's not going to happen (i.e. me rooting to lose and them cleaning house), so I think I'll just find better things to do with my time for the rest of this season. I've been there, done that, and I get absolutely no enjoyment from watching pathetic, undisciplined football. It pisses me off more than anything else, because I'm asking myself why do I bother?...
 
Jared Goff may be the most perfect "first round bust that is an OK backup QB" name since Blaine Gabbert.

Good player, but that name man...
 
I was a little worried that this team might not have what it takes to get Goff, but after tonight I am no longer worried.

Goff is the best of the prospects this year. But I think Cook and Hack will trick some team with workouts and combine performances.
 
Fisher is a fine game and team manager with a couple of decades of experience. Im not looking for him to be a talent evaluator or draw up game plans. Gruden and Schwartz both fielded superior offenses and defenses as coordinators.

Truthfully though, id love to get shanny back.

Wade's D was always pretty solid. Injuries did the team in, but even at that they were still in most of
the games they lost.

This year they are double digits behind in the first quarter ..

Nah, i think fisher will be ousted like andy reid was and be a retread coach. Id just surround him with the best possible coordinators.

I was a fan of shaw and Harbaugh but dont see much else that excites me.

In all honesty, if Gary was kept here as long as he was and Chip Kelly ( with his questionable offseason) still has a job, Obrien is safe for now. Drafting a good QB like Goff would buy him another 2-3 years IMHO

Not already drafting a qb was a mistep and may cost him that chance. If we had a rookie qb performing the same way i think most fans would consider it a growing process and still have something to look forward to. Instead we're looking forward to the off-season with no hope in sight.

I dunno, maybe some still feel that way about mallet. I dont.

O'Brien is on his way to replicating Kubiak's 2013 season after only two years. He's done.

This. This. A thousand times, this. I said it during OB's first draft, and I said it during his 2nd draft. The failure to address a QB solution with fresh blood will draw blood.

Bolster that with the opening scene on Hard Knocks, where OB claimed that our QBs could play - even spouting our dismal record and irrelevence to the world - and you have what might very well be his epitath.

King Midas in reverse.
 
For everyone saying Obrien had his chance to draft a QB, please thrill me and tell me who should've been the face of the franchise now. Hell you can even mention a FA
