He feels that being cooperative over the years hasn't resulted in a fulfilling career, so he's trying his hand at hardball. I don't fault him too much for trying, but it's really not his game. If he had the sense for it, he'd know that it's too late to change his current course. He'll figure it out eventually. I expect to see him in a Texans uniform this year.

You're right. That's probably what the issue is. But, here's the thing: that's what agents are for.
Me and a buddy were discussing the Astros signing Singleton to a long term contract. I think the Astros got a fantastic deal, and locked up a good player for the long term.
My friend agreed, but then said, "But, I think the Astros should have paid him more. If he gets really good later, that'll make him bitter that he's not making as much as he could."
My response: "Bull---t. That's what agents are paid for. If he feels he's underpaid later, that's his fault."
