Texans @ Arizona Prediction Thread

The Cardinals are a lot better than I thought they'd be this year, they're 4-4 with wins against the Lions, Bucs, Falcons and Panthers.

My prediction:

Us- 17
Them- 27

Case has another good game but defense and ST continue to suck, they'll (the Cardinals) will definitely be scoring a TD on ST. We will not be doing so. We will still have posters claiming that we are still in it at 2-7 and that we're going to be having a successful season by trying to impact playoff teams' seedings by playing the spoiler role. Hooray, kill me.

I'd been optimistic for a W since the Seattle game and that's gotten me no where so I'm going glass half empty for a L.

I haven't the slightest idea what to expect, other than Case is going to throw a few TDs.

Honestly, this team is just freaking strange.

We start our path to 5-11 with a win.

Case throws a TD to Andre and one to Nuk as well. Dennis Johnson will pick up one as well.

I predict we play one half of football, miss a few kicks, screw up on special teams, lose, go back home and...nothing...

hmmm let's see

we go up 14-0 in the first half

in the second half they take the lead 14-16

bullock misses 2 kicks from 43 (tipped) and 47ish (wide right)

and then on the last drive we are not in (bullock's) field goal range but we go for the kick anyway because there will be just 4 seconds and 57 yards to go...

we win 17-16 (bullock kicks with his eyes closed)

I hope kubiak will not watch the last drive, I don't want him to have another stroke (or whatever it was, media are so confused)

Hey, that's an idea.

They need to blindfold Bullock so he can't aim.
There's a better chance if him making it; LOL.

I think it'll come down to who has the better running game; our pass rush'll play havoc with AZ's offensive line but they have a great pass defense. The game might be decided by Dennis Johnson, of all people.

I'm not being conservative with my prediction like the Texans typically are in the second half of National League Football games.

I, and the Texans, are both letting it all hang out this week.

You will witness more (hate to use this word publicly) SWAGGER from a 2-6 team than any time in the history of any sport, anywhere.

This will be a good old fashioned American curb-stomping administered to the Arizona Cardinals to your great surprise by the Houston by-God Texans!

I'm sick of this bullshyte, and will stand for nothing less than a 27-17 victory!

:goodpost: Yeah, yur damn right I gave my own post a thumbs up... I'd pos-rep it too, if it was possible!

GO TEXANS!

The Texans score 45+ :truck:

The Texans score a thousand points, and Arizona scores a thousand and one. Seems like old times. :lol:

At some point though, I keep thinking we're just going to turn Keenum loose out of sheer desperation and kick someone's ass. And the sooner the better as far as I'm concerned. This losing $hit is getting old.

Last week I predicted a loss, This week I'm predicting a win. Unless the Cardinals run game suddenly picks up but that all depends on containing Andre Ellington.

Dennison is calling plays this week so I doubt we put up huge offensive numbers.

17-13 good guys

Oh wait that has Bullock making a field goal.
.....

14-13 good guys.

Larry Fitzgerald blowing by JJo or getting interfered with by KJ....

Patrick Peterson returning punts...

Potential to get ugly. Maybe AJ will run over 5 Cardinals again though. :)

What happens is the Texans go 17-3 in the first half than lose 27-20(or 24). Point being is they'll come up short.

I HOPE I'M WRONG, OF COURSE!!!!

Call me out if I get the desired result............ A Texans win!!!!!!!!

Texans 21
Cardinals 3

Wade Phillips will go for 1st downs/TD's in the red zone and not trust c[_]nt brain to hit a chip shot field goal.

I predict I'll make a Boston Pork butt Roast using Paula Deen's recipe . I will make mashed taters and gravy with the drippings . I bet We may have some desert to go along with the game . I bet I consume some adult beverages in the process . There that's my prediction . :chef:

Some people could afford to be a little more mature around here.

Sorry.. the gorverment took my expendable "maturity" income.. so I can't afford it. :)

BTW He wasn't trying to self censor.. he was trying to bypass the filter. [_] = u. There's better ways to do it though.

Fair enough, though pulling out the c-word over a kicker is a bit much; I still think the majority of the fanbase is freaking out over something as weird as kicker accuracy. I followed the post-Superbowl Saints due to where I lived in 2010 and their playoff and NFCCG hero, Garrett Hartley, had a couple of misses that year (even against the hated rival - the Falcons), and went from a guy anyone would offer to pay his meal for to most-hated player on the team. Due to injuries, Garrett - fortunately or otherwise - had to sit out most of 2010 and 2011, but has otherwise returned to being an accurate kicker. Check out Mason Crosby with the Packers, too.

My point is, kicker accuracy is weird and if Bullock is going to get it out of his system, better that it happens this year than a year like 2011 or 2012.

Randy Bullock will miss 3 FG's and 3 XP's. The game will come down to the last play of the game and we will run a fake FG where Randy Bullock will then throw it between the uprights instead of the open man downfield. Game Over.

Texans- 18
Cards- 20

You are probably spot on, BUT, I'm hoping otherwise.

The Texans are besting only the JAgs, Giants and Bucs in terms of scoring this season. Seems to me that the trend of playing conservative to limit turnovers isn't working, when after 3'n out, we turn it over anyway... play lights out. if you score half the time, WIN!

Ok, back to earth...

I've got Houston losing away. Kube's out this week is way off kilter in the clubhouse. We come out punch. Palmer to Fitz with give our 2ndary FITS. At least 3 big PI calls and a couple of TD's. All QB's will throw a pick now and then. I'm hoping this isn't the week the Schaub lovers will finally get to say "SEE! He sucks!"

24-17 ARZ with 3 HOU missed FG's :bag::blah::pissed:

Who knows this week. Who's drawing up the game plan? Dennison? Has he ever game planned against a team? Heck, he even admitted Kubiak would usually nix his ideas when they would game plan. Yeah, I'm not so sure of this one ( as if I was sure about any other ones).

Cardinals D isn't to shabby either. Dockett's one of my favorite players, so it'll be fun watching him vs our oline. Campbell's a good one too. Abraham on the outside. The trench warfare's going to be what to watch this week, imo

Texans 31 Cardinals 13

The Texans play their best ball when nothing is on the line. Season is done so Go Texans!:texflag: :kitten:

I predict the Texans up big in the 1st half, lose ground in the 2nd, then Kubiak sees and hears what we see and hear each week on TV and calls the game over the phone to Dennison. Texans 63 Cardinals 24.

He returns next week, fires Marciano, cuts Ed Reed, cuts Bullock, signs kickalicious, does the Macarena on his way to the locker room at half time against the Raiders (no idea where that one came from :chickendance:), coaches from the booth the rest of the season and leads the Texans to a Super Bowl Victory.

:koolaid::koolaid::koolaid:

I predict texans WIN

Texans 42
Cardinals 24

Keenum throws 5 TDs
AJ 146 yards and 2 TDs
Watt 3 sacks
KJ a pick 6

Randy fat ass bullock has no misses cause he attempts none.

In recent memory there is one team every season that plays like crap. Then gtes a little streak going in November/December and sneaks in as a low seed and shocks everyone. Ravens last year, Giants, etc.....

Just sayin...

Dramastic changes have to happen for the Texans to even get a glimpse of a wild card spot.

Case is getting comfortable and the upcoming games are not very intimidating. Even with our current situation:

@Arizona
Oakland
Jags
Patriots
@Jags
@Indy
Denver
@Tacks

Only game that "worries" me would be NE but they have a reason to want to perform high there. Denver will be locked in playoff spot by week 16. Could come down to week 17 Tacks game for 6th seed.

Not to be Debbie Downer, but there is now a lot of film on what Keenum is comfortable with. He's made a big enough splash that teams will game plan him to death. The next 3 weeks will tell the Keenum story. If he's still prolific, we have a QB. If he gets shut down, we might want to consider a high draft pick QB since we'll have a high draft pick, regardless. Johnny Autograph anyone?
