Well...Kubiak tried to go aggressive...for once we all wished he would have just ran the ball...
Cowher hasnt coached for years, what makes you think he wants to? McNair is as loyal to Kubes as Kubes is to Marciano.
I GUARANTEE Chucky would kill to coach this team. KILL.

No No No, please not him!
I would rather have Kubiak.
If McNair makes a move, I suspect Kevin Sumlin will be high on his list.

No No No not him and his gimmick offense!!!!! Let him stay in Aggieland.
at least sumlin would bring in a new gimmick.
Gruden runs a west coast offense. No thanks.
fify
I don't view the spread/no huddle offense as a gimmick.
The NFL is gravitating towards it whether you like it or not.
Cowher and Chucky are both overrated. I'll stick with the staff we have, minus Marciano(he's absolutely gotta go), and go with a change at QB. I believe that Kubiak is a good coach but he's too damned loyal to the albatrosses that hang around his neck. The four games played this year have convinced me that Kubiak is shackled by Schaub, not Schaub by Kubiak. If Kubiak can find it in his heart to put Schaub on the bench and really turn Yates or Keenum lose, this team would be better off for it and Kubiak could keep his job. There is no honor in falling on the sword for standing behind a loser. Of course, if Kubiak refuses to change, maybe I'm misunderestimating his coaching ability. If we miss the AFCG, or worse yet the playoffs altogether, Kubiak is committing career suicide by sticking with Schaub.
Yeah. Ask the Sea Chickens how effective it was today. I reject the premise that NFL teams are gravitating towards it. A few teams are experimenting with it and having limited success a la Chip Kelly. Eventually NFL DCs figure the gimmick out and shut it down.
Touche without the accent.Grammar Police!!
I believe the word you are looking for is "loose".
Carry on.
The no huddle has been working for around 30 yrs. Teams come and go with it, but many use it quite regularly outside of 2 minute drills. The spread offense of today is little more than the chuck and duck (Run and Shoot for you old school Oiler fans) revisited. That offense gets shut down in crunch time when you need to control the clock.Yeah. Ask the Sea Chickens how effective it was today. I reject the premise that NFL teams are gravitating towards it. All in all, it depends on who can execute better.
I was excited, too until everything went to either AJ or a TE. Schaub just can't seem to get past his security blankets. I didn't have the game on the big screen today (thanks to Sunday Ticket blacking it out in El Centro, Ca for some freaking reason) but I'm sure DHop and the other WR's were open more than once or twice during the game.Man when I saw those 5 wide offensive sets from the a Texans today I was having run and shoot flashback. Kept hoping to see Warren Moon jog out for the Texans. Instead we just had good ol Matt "Concrete Shoes" Schaub out there...

Throwing the ball up for grabs when your receiver already has a defender on him when you are up by 7 with only 2:51 left hardly screams conservative to me.
It would also make things easier if Schaub targeted anyone not named AJ or TE for 3/4 of the game. Martin was probably too shocked to catch the ball.Well, Schaub hit Keyshawn "Little Hands of Concrete" Martin pretty much on target, but the ball was promptly dropped. Schaub deserves the blame for much of the loss, but it would make things a lot easier if the team had a reliable slot receiver.
We got our butts handed to us by the mobile Seattle QB.

Wilson had over 50 yards of his total 77 rushing yards for the game on that same drive
There was absolutely NOTHING about a mobile QB on the other team that was the cause for any butts getting handed to anyone.
Scaub was at least a 10 point swing, the interception in the red zone, and the pick 6 touchdown.
I don't put the int in the red zone squarely on him...If i recall, it was a 3 step drop, meaning the ball's gotta come out fast...plus OD had a shot at it..it hit him in his hands twice. Noone was running a deep route on that play. Apart from that, you don't have time to come off your primary read and go to someone else on those type of plays.
....Like i said in the game thread Seattle did their homework & knew it was coming which is why so many damn defenders were in the vicinity....plus it was run on the short side of the field..
