If he keeps playing the way he's been playing he should be around 15th at seasons end. Just needs SB ring(s) and more TD's to top off a HOF career!
 
He needs 2 to 3 more seasons. If he breaks the top 10 in yards I think he's a lock for the HOF. I would be shocked if he doesn't get in.

Yup - if AJ could average 1200 yds for 4 seasons he would be #2 and still 6000 yds back from Jerry.

Emmitt did a good job as well. Steven Jackson is the highest active player and he is 8000 yds back.

No, not really, but Andre is one of the greats. I'd love to see him crack the top ten before he retires.

I hope AJ is voted into the HoF one day, but with the backlog of WRs waiting to get in, and the increased concerns that passing/receiving stats are getting bloated due to current pro-offense rules, it is going to be a tough case to sell to the HoF voters.

I dig seeing stats like this, though. We will certainly see #80 in the rafters of Reliant one day.

A lot of the guys ahead of him didn't play with elite QBs either. I think it's high time we all accept AJ for the type of player he is. Nothing wrong with it. He's just never going to put up the TDs.

Did those guys play with HWSNBN for most of their career? Andre can put up TDs. But, He always has to come back to the ball when he has beat his defender downfield.

AJ has played 6 years with Schaub and has never put up double digit TDs in any of those seasons. I love AJ as much as the next guy, but no excuses. He is the player we know him to be. He's never going to be a TD machine. Some players have that knack and some don't. The man is an ultra bad ass in every other way, so I am not going to dwell on the TD thing. I'm just accepting it and moving on.
 
I think there are several factors that contribute to a lack of TDs by Andre. First, he's never had another receiver next to him to help draw coverage. That limits big plays, because of safeties taking the deep stuff away. Second, we are a good running team and tend to go that route when we get close to the endzone. Passing plays in the redzone tend to target TEs, especially off of play action. Third, Schaub just doesn't have a big-time arm that would result in alot of long passing plays/TDs.
