WC Game 1 Texans VS Bengals.....Lets Predict ;)

OK OK we have looked crappy, coaching has sucked, blah blah blah blah blah

I dont really give a damn this is the play-offs this is where it all begins. And we all want to see H-Town bring home the Lombardi, and folks this is where it starts. To be the best you have to beat the best and that 100% holds true this season considering if we win we go to NE and if we win there we will most likely have to travel to the mile high city.

But that is talk for another day.

This Saturday our Texans take the field against the bengals for the 2nd straight year.

Texans 30
Bengals 24

AJ goes for 130 and a TD, Foster gets a 100 with 2 TDs but our Red Zone problems continue as we settle for 3 FGs.

Ummmm i am sure most of you will be negative and i cant say i blame you, but remember how good we were the first 9 games of the season ??? We all know we can play with the best we just havent been lately, so dont lose hope Fellow Texans, if you need i will pump some rays of Texas sunshine into your message board life the best i can :)
 
Wow this is the worst doom and gloom i have ever seen on this message board. You guys are in for a surprise, as bad as we have looked i bet we come out firing on all cylinders and the offense gains nearly 500 yards. After we win Saturday everyones spirits will be a little higher :). Keep your chin up guys.

500 yards?!?! Man I wish I had your optimism, I really do. I think we might get half that if we are lucky.

Shoot! We come out firing and blow them out going for almost 500 yards and I guarantee my spirits will be a LOT more than a "little" higher!!

I don't predict scores but I think we win a close one.

The difference will likely be Watt making some monster play like tipping a ball up for a INT or a huge sack fumble. Either way...I'm pretty sure Watt will have a monster day.

Reliant will be loud and rocking and lets hope it causes a penalty or two for the Bengals.

Doesn't matter if we as fans have confidence in them or not. If the Texans play well they'll win. I just don't think they will and you asked for a prediction so that's what I'm predicting. I can't speak for others, but my prediction is based on what I've seen the last couple of weeks and very little to do with feeling negative. I just don't think they can fix their issues fast enough come this Saturday. And even if they win, they're going to get pasted again by the Pats by 40 or 50 points.

Dont agree, if u remember correctly in the pats game we had KJ and who else in the secondary ? Isnt that when Harris and Roc played nearly the entire game cause we had so many injuries.

They have done nothing in the last 7 weeks to earn any confidence, especially the total flame out the last month...

Bengals are coming in on a 3 game winning streak....Andy Dalton is going to go all Razor Ramon on the Texans secondary on Saturday,

he is gonna carve....dem....up....

If we somehow play NE again they'll have this Gronkowski guy ready for the playoffs.
 
With the way things are going, I don't see much that could be changed for Saturday. I feel that the Texans are fine with just winning the division and are ready to go home and take a break. The willpower is not there, if they could not win either last weeks game vs. Indy or the weeks before to secure the bye and 1st seed, then I don't see them winning playoff games. The want is just not there sadly.

So what? You think having JJo back there is going to all of a sudden improve our chances of winning. Did you notice how it was him covering the rookie T.Y. Hilton on that 3rd and 23 play? If Luck who's only completing 50% of his passes can shred our defense I shudder to think what Brady will do to us again. But first things first we still have to beat the Bengals and I don't see us doing it this Saturday.
 
I've never predicted scores, just the game.

Bengals win

Here's why:

-Bengals D-line is a serious unit- better than the Texans Dline last year. I believe they will cause Schaub some problems.

-Bengals defense can play 7-8 in the box and and force AJ to beat them downfield. Foster is the object of their contain.

-Texans secondary cannot play man, yet they do all the time. AJ Green and Hawkins will givethe secondary fots- I see alot of plays downfield, gaining chunks of yardage.

-Schaub is not playing with confidence right now. The right side of your line is a mes-they have given up too many pressures and sacks for a team that wants to go deep in the playoffs.

-Motivation- MOJO- Momentum: Texans do not have it

Bengals go to Denver....
 
I predict suicidal thoughts for Dalton if JJ gets another INT off him.

Myself personally, I'd just retire...because **** football if that **** happens again.

I don't think the game will be as close as indicated. Cincy gets an early lead and simply controls things from there. They will run on us effectively, if not for big chunks, and their defence will force 3 & outs on our two 2nd half possession.

Another dismal big game performance by our Texans. Kubiak states in post game press conference that 'consistency' is needed.
 
The boys will need some gentle pregame encouragement if they are to end up on the correct side of the score.

This is a MUST WIN GAME.:fingergun:

I predict a 20-13 win, Matt Shaub plays mediocre but Arian goes for 158 yds. Also JJ Watt gets 1.5 sack.

I expect the Bengals to win this game. I work with a Bengals fan who really wanted to wager on the game & I said I may as well pay her now. Maybe they'll surprise me & win, but there's no way they'll win in New England :headhurts: Doesn't really matter, since I just can't get up for this game anyway.
 
I really have no idea what is going to happen this game. Usually that means my brain is trying to tell me the Texans will not win but the fan in me won't listen.
 
The light bulb goes off for us in this game. Our backs are against the wall and the rest of the NFL doesn't expect much of us. We are under the radar which is how we perform best as evidenced in our track record in primetime games where we are excessively hyped up (Packers/Pats games this season).

Our big time players are going to show up and play their best football.

There's at least one light that shines for the Texans in this otherwise depressing matchup. The Bengals' only wins against teams who made the postseason was a 38-31 victory at Washington back in Week 3 and this past weekend's 23-17 win over a Baltimore team that rested most of their key players.
