Another great write up by Texans_Chick. That title, I think is appropriate.

Some great one-liners; i.e. Jj Watt Magic Eraser, & David Carr, Ron Dayne, duck tape & chewing gum.

She cracks me up.

You forgot the cats and treadmills.

Man, the cats and treadmills thing got me through the CT shooting aftermath some as a parent. Just sat on the bed along time with my kids watching those videos and laughing and hugging on them. We watch a lot of animal videos except for the ones where one animal eats another. (Whoever created the show "Too Cute" is a super genius).

Funny and zen is not something that usually goes together, but that's how those videos strike me. Just oddly calming and funny at the same time.

Oh, and thanks for the kind words. :)

dammit, I have just spent the last 26 min watching cat and treadmill videos. :kitten:

Thanks TC, good writeup as usual and I needed the laughs.

We can't have the 3rd highest scoring offense in the league. We are way to consevative for that.

I know that article was filled with stat's about our young inexperienced offensive line and protecting Schaub for the playoffs but we all know the real reason for Kubiak being conservative..... He just does'nt have any balls! (foregive me I just got through reading the gameday thread)

Andre Johnson is ranked third in receiving yards, Arian Foster 4th in rushing yards.

Eli Manning is the only QB (of any consequence) sacked less times than Matt Schaub (20)

And along with the third most scoringest offense in the league, none of that means we're not conservative. Even 12 wins in 14 games.

That just means that being conservative by itself is not a bad thing.

They didn't have good red zone game against Indy but before that game they were near top of league.

I think Kubiak picks his spots. Likely in the playoffs he will have to open the hood a little more, but if we can get these games at home, it makes things a bit easier on a transitioning Oline.

And if we get a game in the Super Dome, I'm pretty sure the city of Houston can make that a home game.

I am not a Kubiak fan. Used to be. But I see a lot of the same short-comings that has been identified.

At the same time, I don't think he gets the credit he should. Is he too conservative? Maybe, but that could also mean that he's a great game manager. We've all seen the level of play of this team drop off considerably, but we're still winning.

Yeah, he's putting a lot of pressure on the defense.

But if our defense isn't as great as we think it is. If we don't have an elite QB. If this is not a Super Bowl team, how is it that we're most likely going to be the #1 seed in the AFC? How did we beat 4 play-off teams this season (Bears, Ravens, Colts, Broncos), we'll probably beat the Vikings as well & maybe the Colts again. We haven't lost two games in a row.

I don't see how we can be where we are right now if we have a bad HC. Is he the best? I don't think so. Can he beat the elite teams? So far, doesn't look like it. But he's not chopped liver.

Good post! I feel about the same about Kubiak. I may like him a little more than you. I don't think he is one of the top 5 coaches in the league but he is not that far off. I think our chance of replacing him with a better coach is about 1 in 3. Not great odds, so as long as he keeps getting us into the playoff's with a chance at the big game I will support him. If we start losing again then I would vote for a change.
