10/28 late games

Eric Winston looks absolutely terrible today.

Getting beat left and right, but more to the right.

Nyg 22 cowgirls 0. Hahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!! The titans lost too. This almost makes up for no Texans.

Well crap I go eat a quick dinner and dallas is only down 13. Oh well it least that it means it could be a decent game.

Well it hasn't been a very entertaining day of football so far :( Redskins vs Steelers was hard to watch with so many drops, Besf's vs Colts didn't get any good till the very end.

Tough game. Romo sucked at first but hung in there and brought them back. I'm more peeved at Garrett. Just outsmarts himself.

It was a rough beginning, but I have to give our boys a big love ya for their efforts in making the come back effort. Met and took pictures with some awesome Giants fans.

The issue I'm having Star is that I see some people say what you did but in an accepting way. As a fan since the 70s there was always an expectation...unreasonable or not...of SB or bust. Now over 16 years people have accepted mediocrity and are just proud about close games. Not saying you, just others I have read. That puts those fans right in Jerry's pocket. They accept this stuff and still pay for everything.

Skins and Steelers game was hard to watch because of those gawd awful uni's the Steelers wore! Hurt my eyes, and kinda made me wanna puke, so I turned it off!

Cowboys have adopted "we have to get better" ,"focus on the positive" in the post game speeches. Reminds me of Capers and "execute" or Kubiak and "It's on me"

Garrett is gone after this season. That team is underperforming big time. Just throwing it out there, but I bet Mike Holmgren gets a look as the coach. He flopped as a GM in Cleveland, so he won't have power over personnel anywhere he goes. Could be just what Jerry Jones wants...a big name coach while he still remains the GM.

We made the best out of a horrible situation. The roof and end ones were open so most of Arlington probably heard the boos for both Jerry & Romo. Oh yeah there was plenty stadium noise and much more than the 3rd qtr. graphics. Lol Oklahoma was good after game therapy.

Raiders 26
Chiefs -16

The Chiefs are the first team to go seven weeks without a lead in regulation since 1940.

Dallas is an undisciplined team. How any Cowboy fan could be okay with their performance on Sunday is crazy. They dominated the Giants in every statistical category except turnovers. I am not a Cowboy fan but the thing that is so frustrating with Dallas is that their talent level is insane. They could easily be one of the top teams in the NFC if they just wouldn't beat themselves so often.

Kinda strange there was only two late games, no?

This just crossed my mind, but maybe it had something to do with Denver & Arizona/SF having primetime games. West Coast teams are usually the teams to get the 3:00 PM games, and they were either on the road (SD, Sea) or had a late night game (SF, Ari, Den). The only exception of course being the Oak/KC game that was at 3:00.

So, did his index or middle finger touch the ground first ... ?

Doesn't matter. A finger isn't enough to establish you in bounds. Same as a toe isn't enough.

You have to get 2 feet in bounds OR you have to get an elbow or knee.

A finger isn't enough to get you in bounds but it is enough to get you OUT of bounds.

Nitpicking, but Not completely true. The hand is the only thing that doesn't count if it hits first. The rule is a) possession and b) any part of the body except hand. So if his fingers were in and his rear hit like it did, then catch.

Item 3: End Zone Catches. If a player controls the ball while in the end zone, both feet, or any part of his body
other than his hands, must be completely on the ground before losing control, or the pass is incomplete.

You know, just after I posted this I realized i should have expanded to include other parts of the body. I got caught up with Madden's old "an elbow equals two feet" thing.

The bottom line is a finger or hand in bounds, like a toe or a foot, isn't enough to establish you in bounds. But a finger, hand, toe, or foot OUT of bounds is enough to render you out of bounds. So in this case, it wasn't really a close call. He had fingers out of bounds so he was out of bounds.

Yup, I knew you probably meant that and knew but I just wanted to state the rule.
