Sorry bud, you're wrong on this one. They stopped that team repeatedly on 3rd down. and that call on Barwin WAS CRAP. No excuses. He wasn't using leverage to get at a block, anyone can see that..
TJ
Quit blaming it on the refs for Christ's sake.
We ****ing suck out there. That's all there is to it. I hope their ears burn all week long.
No offense, but if this thread isn't screaming for a waaaaambulance picture I don't know what is....
We got our ass kicked, get over it
Maybe you need to read the rule - the official NFL rule (p. 79:Sorry bud, you're wrong on this one.
What Barwin did was 100% the right call.
Read up on the rules.
It's a textbook violation--and a STUPID ONE to boot.
He never even raised his arms to try and block the kick.
He took one step and jumped - not clearly running forward.LEAPING
(r) Clearly running forward and leaping in an obvious attempt to block a field goal, or Try-kick after touchdown and landing on players, unless the leaping player was originally lined up within one yard of the line of scrimmage when the ball was snapped.
Yes, he moved FORWARD and jumped, AND he came down on players.Maybe you need to read the rule - the official NFL rule (p. 79:
Hetook one step and jumped - not clearly running forward.
Obvious attempt to block - seems your never raised his arms would argue against that.
He was very close to one yard from the LOS which might nullify the entire rule.
The rule isn't moved forward. It is as stated, "clearly running forward."Yes, he moved FORWARD and jumped, AND he came down on players.
You're the one who acted like his not raising his arms was some damning event. Doesn't fit the NFL rule description. And he jumped...why exactly?
I said nothing different so what are you arguing? I said he was right about the one yard off line when he lined up, not when he jumped. And as far as where he was on the line of scrimmage when he jumped...that's completely irrelevant. The rule states where he originally lined up.
:kubepalm: We got the ever loving **** kicked out of us, it is a loss, quit grasping straws. And as far as crap calls are concerned, the packers are the biggest lopsided end of receiving one. They were 3-2 coming in here in my eyes, and a missed FG away from 4-1.Seriously,
Watt got tackled!

They wouldn't have even have had to pay me.Watch any game next week and you will see stronger arguments for infraction of this rule. Yet it gets called in .5% of NFL games. Obvious to you. Maybe you should have been a replacement ref.
I knew as soon as I saw which ref crew we got that we were going to get screwed on a lot of calls, but it's only been ridiculous, not completely absurd.
I watched the replay like 10 times. Barwin did NOT come down on anyone. He landed on one foot so that his other foot would avoid landing on Shaun Cody. His left food did graze a Packer as he was flying over. I assume that's what they called? Which is very ticky-tack IMO. What I'm really pissed at is that penalty is an automatic first down! Really? It was 4th&20! Aren't personal fouls typically just a 15 yard penalty?Maybe you need to watch the replay.
He jumped and came down on top of another player.
The rule is there to protect the safety of players.
Why didn't he raise his hands?
