Bears-Cowboys Monday night

Wolf

100% Texan
Tight one so far. Bears just scored to make it 10-0 . Little over 2minutes until the half

Tillman INT of Romo 25 yards to get the TD

Ok now that was funny. Bears get an int inside their 10. Cutler holds it to long and gets stripped, then Romo tries to shovel pass it under pressure and gives up 70 yard pick 6.

I hate the Cowboys but I am pulling for them to make the Superbowl. How awesome would it be to play them at the Superdome this year and the Texans beat them down in front of the nation?

Meh. Cowboys fans are way too arrogant, and the Cowboy circus would totally overwhelm the Super Bowl. No thanks. I'd rather play another team. Plus: it wouldn't be competitive. We would beat the living snot out of them.

An awful lot of Bears fans at the game. Guess that is the draw back of having a huge stadium that seats a lot of people when you have a small city.

The Cowboys Fan Rant video dude is going to post a hellfire and brimstone video tonight.

He might explode on camera.

Glad the Cowboys are getting their ass kicked, but Brandon Marshall beat me at fantasy football. BAH!

What does that mean? You want me to provide you a link showing populations? Seriously?

DFW Population

See result #1....

So if Dallas is allowed to skew it's population by adding surrounding cities then I guess we should go ahead and add the Woodlands, Galveston, and any other city we want too.

It's Dallas, or it's Fort Worth, it's not both.

DFW is one metro area, thats why its added. DFW is bigger than the Houston Metro Area (if you include all those you mentioned plus others).

Its meaningless anyway. Dallas by itself is the 9th largest city in the US.

You can't count the "Metro area." What the hell does that even mean anyway?

Hey let me just say all of west Texas plus Houston is the Houston metro area. That makes us the biggest!:kubepalm:

Last one. Go ahead and education yourself if you want.

Most recently on December 1, 2009, the United States Office of Management and Budget (OMB) defined 955 Core Based Statistical Areas (CBSAs)[3] for the United States and Puerto Rico. The OMB defines a Core Based Statistical Area as one or more adjacent counties or county equivalents that have at least one urban core area of at least 10,000 population, plus adjacent territory that has a high degree of social and economic integration with the core as measured by commuting ties.[4] The Core Based Statistical Areas currently defined by the OMB include the 374 Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs),[5] which have an urban core population of at least 50,000, and the 581 Micropolitan Statistical Areas (μSAs),[6] which have an urban core population of at least 10,000 but less than 50,000.

Guess you aren't/weren't being sarcastic. Time to walk away from this one....

It's neither. Cowgirls stadium is in Arlington.

Oh look at you end the argument.

Guess its the DFW/Arlington metroplex area.

Watch out Oklahoma. Dallas will claim you too.

Hey I was backing you up. Arlington is a tiny city yet both cities claim it as part of itself.

The funny thing, many of the longtime residents of the two cities really don't like the other much. My ex-GF's mother was from Ft Worth and she HATED if someone referred to it as "The Metroplex".

I was agreeing with you.

All I am saying is Dallas trying to count surrounding cities as part of their population is like a guy saying their junk is really 2 inches bigger if you measure how much area their boys take up.

Actually what you said was Dallas has a small population and thats why they can't fill their stadium.

If you just count Dallas, they are 9th largest
If you count DFW, they are 4th largest

This is not Dallas choosing what to count, its the way the census and statistics of these things are counted. Alrington is directly in between D and FW anyway, so its not like it doesn't draw easily from both areas.

Either way, your original idea makes zero sense

So will Jon Gruden still have his man crush on Tony Romo after this game? Is he going to go hug Romo and give him a shoulder to cry on in the locker room?

Back to football:

Is anyone else disappointed Romo got benched? i was hoping he would break the record for most INTs in an NFL game

You ASSumed he meant Dallas, but in fact, the stadium is in Arlington, pop 365,438.

 I know (hope) you're messing with me here. As if size of the literal city of stadium makes any difference. Foxboro has 16k population and is almost an hour away from Boston. They don't have trouble filling it...

I forgot about that guy. Oh man, I can't wait to see what he has to say about this game. What a debacle :D

LOL, my wife's cousin just did a mini rant on facebook about how Jerrah Jones has ruined the cowgirls, and how he is looking for a new team.

I responded by offering him a ticket to the Sunday Night Game against Green Bay, in case he wanted to watch a good team for a change.

Different day, same crud as a Cowboy fan for me. I wouldn't expect anything less these days. I don't even get mad anymore. I thought maybe an improved secondary would help but overall it isn't any of that. Jerry has made a team with no homefield advantage and with guys who don't have the intangibles needed to win. Their robot...errrr..coach, isn't too great either. Alot of the players are just happy to be there. Instead of more Sean Lees we have more Dez Bryants. Garrett can't gameplan and do anything with the offense. In an age of parity, my Boys decided they might as well just be constantly mediocre. And to think one blown wide open pass would have had them in the playoffs last year and not the Giants. Typical of this team.

Jerry Jones is an owner who has pretty much created his own mess, IMO.

If he would just hire a truly competent "football guy," such as Bill Cowher and then force himself to do nothing at all with the team...THEN the Cowboys might stand a chance.

As it is, however, they are dysfunctional like Al Davis' Raiders were (and still are, seeing as how the residue won't wear off for a long, long time). Both those owners' teams had a little success and then let it get to their heads to the point that they couldn't get out of their own way.

The coaches, the players, the environment...it's all so very mismatched. Forced. Incompatible. And that falls on the shoulders of Jerry Jones. Period. And all he thinks is stuff like "Well, maybe it's time to get a new QB." or maybe he thinks "Well, maybe a better head coach is in order here." No, Jerry, YOU are the problem. The common denominator of all your problems, Jerry, is YOU.

He has an addiction to the acquisition and wielding of power. And he's taking all his organization and its fans down with him. And Cowboys fans are stuck with it. Can't jump ship, or the Cowboys fan is called a fair weather fan. And can't stand to watch because they know the outcome ahead of time. It's perpetual frustration, I'm sure. Can't change the owner, and that's their problem.

To be perfectly honest I'd be fine with that. I think we should go up there in the middle of the night, bulldoze that whole pile of s**t across the Oklahoma border, and just play dumb in the morning claiming it was always over there.

All I know is that I'm still smiling this morning! Watching the "girls" crash on National TV was AWESOME! Watched the game with my Cowboy lovin son-in-law and MAN was it fun watching him cringe!!:) To his credit though, he will pull for the Texans over the Cowboys! Got him converted a few years ago when I refused to give him a ticket to a Texan game unless he wore a Texan jersey! He was hooked! Still loves his Cowboys, but, that's ok, he's got his heart in the right place now, and it belongs to the Texans.

Smdh! The only freakin time I pick them to cover a spread and they shat all over the field. I'm not sure wth I was thinking by picking them anyway. I should cup-check myself
