Week 3 VS Broncos. Lets Predict :)

EllisUnit

Vote RED!!!
OK i know its early again but it worked so well against the jags ;). I say

Texans 34

Broncos 13

(OK here at work at 3:30 AM after a whopping 2 hours of sleep i change my predicition after what seemed to be a revelation between closing my eyes and then opening them right back up to come to work, i got a large boost of Homerism :) )
Manning gave us hell when he was with the colts, but DONT FORGET he hasnt played against the texans revamped defense.

And I expect AJ and the passing game will play a big factor next week as i dont see us taking a early and commanding lead.

Final score in overtime. The Texans Vs. Manning rivalry is reborn.

Seriously though, the key matchup here will be Kareem Vs. Decker. Manning threw equally to Thomas and Decker, and he went to Decker a couple of times in the endzone, Manning will surely test Jackson more than Joseph.

I predict I will know more after seeing Denver tomorrow night.

I don't like it though, I think it will be close, but it is hard to go and win in Denver.

I will update more.

Denver 31
Texans 10
Peyton still sees us as his *****. He scores early and often then kubiaks gameplan
goes out the window. Schaub forced to play catchup and fails. Early thoughts, thats all

hmmm since phillip came here the Defense has been way better than what Peyton was used to seeing from us. Even so i see us scoring more than 10.

Man we have some mood killers here...

Not mood killing. Wades first shot at Peyton and I don't think Peyton fears wade. He has tools and a nice D. Just being reasonable against a qb who has always kicked our ass

Broncos 24

I think the Texans are the better team, but playing on the road is tough. I'll be interested to see how bitchboy Manning looks tomorrow, but I think he was a bit overhyped in week 1.

I dont think the Broncos D is better than ours and i dont think the broncos O is better than ours.

Just my opinion but we match up well if not better

What rivalry??? It's been a one sided affair. This is going to be a tough test for us. Good thing is that we haven't hit our stride yet offensively or defensively yet. Broncos looked awesome against the Steelers the other night, but it'll be interesting to see if Manning can have a repeat performance. I think it'll be a close game up in Denver and the thin air might have an adverse affect on our players. Arian and Tate are key to this game imo. Keep Manning off the field. As for the prediction, I'm going with my heart: 21-17 Texans. My head says this will be our first loss. I hope my head is wrong.

Peyton > schaub. Peyton > kubiak. I hope I'm wrong but I see a loss here on the road. Plus the hype machine will be running if Broncos are 2-0 also.

I hope they are 2-0. two power houses slugging it out......Tired of these blow outs TBH. Need one to get my blood pumping :whip:....as long as we still get a win.

This will be a real tough one. I consider the broncos one of the best teams of the league and Manning always looks good against us. Plus it's in Denver. I'm gonna say 21-17 Texans. Can't wait for a real test now, neither the Jags nor the Dolphins gave us a challenge...

One more time I call upon Clubber's power

"My Prediction?"

"Pain"

I think we are easily the more talented team. The fact that the game is in Denver and their QB is Peyton Freaking Manning makes me feel very unsure about the outcome.

I was a little nervous for the Dolphins just because it was the first game I think and you never know.

The Jags I was sure we would whip them good.

The Peytco's scare me, purely because of Manning.

I had this game down as one we would lose when predicting our record, but stuff that.

Texans 37
Broncos 20

Kubiak opens the playbook and we get the ball downfield some.

I think there was a certain level of brilliance to Kubiak's gameplan today. He showed screen after screen after screen. You think the Broncos and their 2 edge speed rushers aren't going to be watching that? That's the easiest way to get in their head and slow them down some. I honestly think Kubiak wasn't pushing the ball down the field with an eye on next week's game. We'll still do some in the screen game because they want to fly up the field so fast, but Andre will be unleashed next week. Hopefully Champ and Co. don't exhaust too much energy covering the Falcons beast receivers because he'll see a much better version in #80 next Sunday.

I will know more after Manning plays MNF vs Falcons.

Right now, the Denver crowd environment is a challenge for us. The refs, unless it's the regular crew out there, those replacement refs will MELT under the Broncos fans' noise. I noticed last week that the fans were hissing and pissing and moaning and crying for pass interference ANY time a Manning pass was not caught. Apparently, it was never the Colts fans fault for that...it apparently is inherently attached to Manning and his fans think there MUST have been a p.i. if the pass wasn't completed. Because he's just. that. good. Makes me soooo mad. The replacement refs just might fall under the spell, I'm afraid.

Overall, we SHOULD beat them...but it will be close either way. A 10-point game IMO.

I can see the Texans come out with a win, 27-24. One thing i can't wait to see is when Watt lays out Manning.

I think there is a lot of truth in this.

I think Kubiak Mitlon Berle'd this one. (throw that out for all the sportsguy fans.)

27-17 Texans

Peyton Manning is gonna get ***** slapped by the pass defense. Manning hasn't faced a Barwin or Watt or this defense and they are gonna abuse Denver's O-line...

They barely have a running game so the OLBs will pin their ears back and go after Manning.

Remember, when Peyton starts getting hit, he isn't Peyton anymore and the Texans are gonna hit him all day...

I want to see how the Broncos look tomorrow night. Then I will make a prediction.

Since you thought the Jags would beat the Texans, are you really expecting the Broncos could possibly look worse than the Jags? Because if they only look as bad as the Jags you kinda have to pick the Broncos.

I don't need to watch tomorrow nights game....

It's Peyton Manning, remember ?

Not a doubt in my mind, the Texans are losing this one.

31 -13

If somehow the Texans win, then I will truly believe this is a Super Bowl team.

Texans 45, Broncos 20

We finally break the 40-point mark this year

Our defense gives them enough hell. 3-0 for the first time in franchise history.

The MNF game tomorrow (errrr tonight) won't tell us a thing about Texans-vs-Broncos next week.

After week 1, there was no way the Cowboys would lose to the Seahawks, no way the Patriots would lose to the freaking Cardinals at home, no way the latest GOAT QB RG3 would lose to the lowly Rams.

On any given Sunday, any NFL team can beat the crap out of any other. The cliche is true!

You guys crack me up. Manning has. Never faced a playoff calibre Texans team. You cannot compare this team we have now to the teams Manning would dominate single handed.

24-17 Texans

I see what you're trying to say, but many picked the Seahawks over the Cowboys as the upset of the week (Dallas read their press clippings), St. Louis played a good game against Detroit in Detroit in week one. After two weeks, you can start collecting more data.

23-20 Texans win.

We run, run, and run the ball some more. Manning is kept off the field. The most important aspect of the game is Kubiak learned that we have to run the ball on Manning (I hope.)

Remember when Arian had that breakout game against the Colts, and the second game Kubes decided to pass more than run and we lost that game? It was a "fire kubiak" and "poor game planning" week. Just as long as we run the ball with Tate and Foster we will be in a winning position.

If we get fancy and try to be a passing team we lose. We have to be a smash mouth in your face on both sides of the ball. Our defense will shake up Manning too by knocking him around. This isn't your 8-8 Texans.

Some of yall seem to forget the power of Da Watt. Manning hasn't seen this defense yet except in film. I predict a very close game won in the 4th qtr. I'll say by whom after I watch the game tonight.

And with that film, my fear comes with the clinic Drew Brees put on KJ in last season's week 3 game.

I want to reserve a prediction until after watching tonight's game as well, but my gut says it will be a last man standing game.

We all know that Peyton can't get comfortable and I like our chances to disrupt him all game long. That and securing the rock will be KEY. I would LOVE to see the tricycle put a smile on Kube's face this week!

Factors:
thin air vs short week for Denver

Texans RBs vs hopefully tired D

Texans LBs versus TEs (Dreesen?)

KJ versus #2 WR

Walters and OD vs middle of field

AJ will be a factor only in tying up more than one defender.

Texans win

I wonder if Joel Dreesen will screw us over Sage Rosenfels style. Just thought of that. That could be the game changer.
