I hate that commercial.Still running the Geico Orakpo commercial? This has been a bad football day so far.
Sigh...
It's the going to the ground rule. Period. Calvin Johnson, remember? Or that Raider receiver Louis ??? on MNF a few years ago?
On passing plays, the NFL rule of possession states that the receiver must have possession of the ball with both feet down in bounds before a catch can be ruled legal. The rule further describes possession as the player having clear control of the football before going out of bounds. Receivers are ruled not to have possession of the ball legally if they are bobbling the football before going out of bounds.Rule 8, Section 1, Article 3, Item 1 of the NFL Rule Book (page 51) states that “if a player goes to the ground in the act of catching a pass (with or without contact with an opponent), he must maintain control of the ball after he touches the ground, whether in the field of play or the end zone. If he loses control of the ball, and the ball touches the ground before he regains control, the pass is incomplete. If he regains control prior to the ball touching the ground, the pass is complete

Jean had control of the ball at the time of having both feet in bounds. Once he was out of bounds, he still maintained possession up until he hit the ground. This should have been ruled a TD.
AGREE 100% i guess others who were saying i dont know the rules infact dont know the rulesOn passing plays, the NFL rule of possession states that the receiver must have possession of the ball with both feet down in bounds before a catch can be ruled legal. Thank you.
Like I said it was a BS call.
Rookie refs already costing teams.
Also note the addition I made to my post re. Calvin Johnson.AGREE 100% i guess others who were saying i dont know the rules infact dont know the rules
i mean NO pressure at all, where are all these complex blitzes he was talking about ? This looks Vanilla to meI keep thinking of the data that points to a major drop off in Wade's 2nd year of coaching a defense.
Looks exactly how he has looked his entire career to me ...Does anyone else notice that Matt Schaub is telegraphing his passes. I don't think I'm seeing him going through his reads looking for other open receivers.
Reed went all-out on a pass rush and the FB slipped by him and caught a quick pass.Who blew that assignment?
I think Schaub is showing either rust or his age. Arm seems even weaker than usual. Maybe injury still bothering him. Really slow release.Does anyone else notice that Matt Schaub is telegraphing his passes. I don't think I'm seeing him going through his reads looking for other open receivers.
